Re: Indian Economy: News and Discussion (June 8 2008)
The Indian economy is most likely to suffer really badly in this year. As per Arun Nehru, former cabinet minister, it would be a miracle if we were to achieve growth rate of 5%. However, the mainstream media is not questioning the govt about their absurd claim of 6 to 7% growth. There is no doubt th...

Re: Geopolitical thread
I agree with you that it is highly possible that other languages in central Asia borrowed from the proto-Sanskritic language that grew in Central Asia. However, scientists have a point about the central premise of the linguistic theory that languages grow in all directions. The only possibility is t...

Re: Indian Non-response to Terrorism after Mumbai
It is amazing that while most educated Indians believe that our government's stand on the terror issue reeks of submission, but, our liberal media continues to support government. See this article by Shashi Tharoor in Times of India. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Opinion/Editorial/TOP_ARTICLE__...

Re: Indian Response to Terrorism after Mumbai
There is no doubt that Indian government is shooting in the dark in absence of a workable strategy. They do not want to go for war and short of war, they do not have any ideas on how to curtail terrorism without losing muslim vote banks.
