Sorry, with an IL76 payload of 40 odd tons and with the trailer being the width of a truck, why cant an IL-76 carry a bunch of IAF Akash trailers & associated equipment. The missiles can come separately on other IL-76. A few Il-76 flights should definitely be able to transport the IAF version o...

@Shiv
Well, TVC making LCA uncontrollable is a bit exaggeration because FBW system could be upgraded to cope with it. Plus TVC is not a priority area in research in India atleast. They are working on it for AMCA but nothing is going on for the LCA. EJ guys doing it is a different issue.

^ Interesting information , btw do we have a picture of MKI with 754 pod ? I think debate started based on pics of UPAZ-1A from Karlo Kopp's site which are Su-27K shots. I am not sure if the image is of IAF Su-30 but it surely is a Su-30. Link:http://angle-of-attack.blogspot.com/2010/07/cobham-754-...

Actually the LCH has flown above 300kmph post inaugural. Its speed should be around 300kmph once it enters service. HAL is most likely playing safe by limiting its speed to 275 kmph.

No. I am not sure. But, Kiel probe A Kiel probe is a device for measuring pressure in fluid dynamics. It is a variation of a Pitot probe where the inlet is protected by a "shroud". Unlike the Pitot probe, it is not sensitive to changes in yaw angle, and is therefore useful when the probe'...

I do not think that the HAL LOH design is that far along as to fit into the timelines that the IAF and IA are looking at in the short run- i.e. 1 year from date of contract signature which might be (if all goes well) a year or a year and half away..that means entry into service in 2.5 years as per ...
