Re: MRCA News and Discussion

I have a word document to an article that a US pilot who flew against the MiG-29 of the Bulgarian AF wrote. MiG-29 fans will love that article, and what it does make clear is that with new generation avionics, radar, weapons and more internal fuel, a MiG-29 UPG (like that of the IAF) and the MiG-35...

very true often decisions claimed to be based upon rationalism turns out to be the myth of rationality where stereotyping does play a significant role. interestingly the point of argument in the f22 flying on a single wing case in my opinion would be weather it would be combat worthy on one wing. i...

Those tentacles need not be vile! Weed out the tentacles according to our need. That should be the smartest way, isn't it? Unfortunately, we will continue to depend on imports for some time to come. Rahulda, extremely valid point that the C-17s may be overpriced! But the C-17s are not being sold to us at 580million. Actually the break up puts the planes at around 250 million or so. Its the after sales service which is so expensive. Somehow, from personal experience they make a huge deal out of ...

I already mentioned how the C-5A Galaxy was structurally modified internally into the C-5C to carry NASA rockets, rockets that could not fit in regular C-5s. It did not require a new fuselage. Or a new wing. Was the internal diameter increased at the wing joins? In the late-1980s, NASA had two C-5A...

The question is whether a blended wing body design with short canted tailfins reduce body+tailfin lift in a 90 degree roll. Boss imho a considerably high TWR and the fact that those tailfins are completely movable (unlike the smaller rudder on conventional designs) should address the issue. I think...
