we should emulate China in this matter, and not smaller nations such as UK or Pakistan. If we must yield for the greater good, then a high price must be demanded. Gautam I find these two sentences conflicting..If we yield for higher price, We are following TSP/UK. If we don't yield and follow our o...

Here are my 2 cents.. 1. There is no verifiable information about TSP's CM capabilities other than their announcement + Magnified photograph of Sivagasi imported rocket. 2. US/Indian government are playing cool and it looks like they know something that we don't. 3. I think we are overblowing the NF...

There is another explanation. The very muted reaction from GOI so far as well as from the US State department suggests that this whole thing could be an orchestrated event to shore up Musharaff's standing which may have been threatened internally i.e. one cruise missile supplied and repainted and f...

amarko, there is one more point against : What is the guarantee that US won't spy on us once they have their troops in J&K? And what is the guarantee that US will share "EVERYTHING" that they find out with us? Remember, US has its own interest and our interest comes in last in the list...

Re: Indo-US Operations in J&K
I agree with John. We are regional power and by allowing US troops in J&K, we are not strengthening our position. We should tell the whole world that TSP is the one who should be curtailed and if there needs to be some monitoring then it should be on TSP's soil. This should be our offer.. India ...

My 2 Cents.. US soldiers may be allowed on Indian soil for joint training or for some other purposes..but not in J&K. Kashmir problem should be solved bilaterally. Involving US will internationalize the problem, which mushy wants desperatly. It is our misfortune that we have to find peaceful sol...

Instead of purchasing billions of dollars worth equipment, we should leave it our scientist to figure out the best equipment..more self reliance..

Pakistan should be treated no different than Afghanistan. It is high time US gives us the signal to clear up the mess next door or it will not be just india who has to pay the price..
