Re: Armoured Vehicles Discussion Thread - Jan 12, 2012
Was the torsion bar which connected the IRST 120mm rifled? Is that why it broke? Unlike the smoothbore 125mm torsion bar. ;) Arjun has a FLIR, not an IRST. And it works well....don't get taken in by the fun we are having, at the expense of the trolls who in turn, have had way too much fun at the ex...

Re: Armoured Vehicles Discussion Thread - Jan 12, 2012
What about the bridges on the other side ? Now, this looks like a very serious problem with Arjun MBT and solution to that would be, that we build bridges (of course with tax payer’s money)on the other side of the border to solve this Issue. But, must agree, what a meticulous planning by Porkis, as...

First of all Sanku ji, you are an institution as far as Knowledge on Tanks is concerned. Sorry Sir !! I wasn't agreeing with you in anyway... I was rather :rotfl:, which probably you have overlooked on purpose.. ? The plain answer to your question is Arjun MBT doesn't have torsion bar and in its place it has hydro-pneumatic suspension which is considered technologically advanced. This i...

Re: Armoured Vehicles Discussion Thread - Jan 12, 2012
So it took somewhat like 30 years to fix the torsion bar problems!! The project started in 1980 did it not? there was no torsion bar to start with == hence there was no problem :(( added later: i think i just fed a T.R.O.L.L, silly me :rotfl: :rotfl: I have seen people using this 'torsion bar' tric...

There are already a couple of 'analysts' dismissing or denigrating the significance of the Agni 5. Praful Bidwai is the most negative and obnoxious. Manoj Joshi has been sour. And there's Kanti Bajpai with his article in TOI "Missiles, Missiles, Everywhere" where he puts down Agni 5 as 30...

I hope the new spaceport is to the south of Sriharikota. It will also have to be on the east coast. Maybe a site in the Nicobar islands?
