Thanks rkhanna & Johann.

Raj It is very interesting though that we would go ahead and purchase exclusively 6 C-130J just for SF role as confired by ACM , Certainly we are thinking in terms of some future continental operation in which SF would have a very important role to play

What role did these aircraft play in US SF operations ? What are the capabilities of C-130J in SF role ? And Operatio...

I am reading Wings Of Fire , Kalam clearly states that Prithvi design already had the provision for modification from a long range Surface to Surface to a Surface to Air Missile. Now in the forms of PAD we can see , Was Prithvi when designed was concieved as more than tri service surface to surface ...

The AAD is supposed to be equivalent to the Patriot/PAC3 or better. The PAD is supposed to be equivalent to the Arrow or better. Nahi , Neither is supposed to be better than this/that or other foreign system , that dosent seem to be the design goal of making it better than Arrow or PAC 3, S300 what...

Hi Nalla Baalu , the excerpt is taken from The Hindu report , It dosent clearly mentions any specific components , But it generically mentions Control Center ( Shadow center perhaps ? ) and redudancy in data links/communication to the ABM system as a whole. Since the test was done in complete weapon...

The way way Prithivi has been developed , into a Multirole & Multiplatform system is something amazing , The concept of a Tri Service quasi-BM (and now ABM ) would have been in work for almost a decade now. No doubt Dhanush has served as a Rock Bed for developing new technology and concepts , Bu...

I doubt Dhanush is just a concept demo and its use and utility goes much beyond that , And it seems its an operational system in the IN on limited platforms

Raj, The initial talk was about some proximity fuzes. Now this hint of HTK. The target missile did get destroyed. What did it in? Collision at high speed or explosion by a warhead? Since the Target was not in space , Most likely it would be a HTK system where the 3rd stage or HTK hits the Target at...

Ok question to the Knowledgeble ones. The first stage of the interceptor is a liquid fuel ones , which means its not always in a ready to fire mode and it would have to be refuelled thus making it cumbersome. The Interceptor took off at a very slower speed , Compare that to the Interceptor like NMD,...

Well decoying an ABM system is not an impossible task One of the way to decoy as shown in a video of Topol-M was to place the warhed in a baloon like thing , which protects the warhed IR signature etc and then you have multiple baloons among which one carries the real warhead , They all reenter at t...
