My observations. Taking F77H, it can deploy a warhead weight of ~40Kgs. Rate of fire is 3 rpm for 20 min sustained. 20x3=60 rounds. It then needs a cool down time for its barrel and crew. Laser guided munitions will be a better option since unkil will stop GPS signals in the conflict zone. Also LGMs are more accurate than GPS ones.

Kersi, a cargo shell can can carry grenades and can deploy anti personnel / anti armour mines. Also it is possible to modify it to a nuke artillery.

Nalanda is in limbo. It is not scrapped but surely things are not moving its way. Initial plan was to collaborate with Somchem/Naschem were scrapped after the Denel fiasco. IMI was then selected to provide the machinery / tooling and technology to set up the factory.

ramana, according to the OFB site it looks like we are making most of the shell types with the cargo variant as notable exception. It was reported in Asian Age (?) that after Kargil OFB was producing a little less than a quarter m round per year.

We need a single hull design with more punch and longer leg than the current Scorpenes in making. Also if one have to shell out $1.5b per conventional sub then a Barracuda type nuke boat would be a far better option.
