All the arm chair rocket scientists on this thread should take a chill pill and desist from getting on their high horses and being unfairly critical of ISRO. ISRO along with a few of the DRDO labs (working on the missile programs), DAE are the only govt entities in India that have really delivered ...

have they begun leak analysis? No they cant even go near the rocket for about a week because of poisonous fuel in the air. The diameter of D-3's shroud was 3.4m, the F-06 mission in december 2010 was the first GSLV (and maybe the last) to use the 4m shroud.

There's some info about the C-15 stage on wikipedia, other than that you won't find any other info about it unless you look at ISRO's annual reports or budget papers. These are made publicly available every year and shouldn't be too hard to track down with a google search.

Re: Indian Space Program Discussion
As Neela above said there are two cryogenic engines and two cryogenic stages. A cryogenic stage is what holds engine together, it contains fuel tanks and other hardware. ISRO has 2 cryogenic stages - C-12.5 and C-25. C-12.5 is the cryogenic stage for the GSLV MK-2's upper stage. C-25 is the cryo sta...

Krish C, excuse the ignorance, but are the C-20 engine and C-25 'stage' referring to two distinct engines or entities? If they are 2 engines being developed, that is very good. One must be for the initial flights, and the other for later flights. Or it's possible that there are two teams working on...
