Re: Cold Start: An analysis
good points Rajiv. in corporate world each level of manager collects info from subordinates and prepares a brief executive summary for the next upward level. Information availability (to help better hi-level decisions) has to be delinked from low-level decision making (the Gen doesnt order a platoon...

Re: IAF Jaguars & IL-78s in Italy
Acc to a media report posted in AFM , the PAF has asked for 11 F-16s as attrition replacement. We know of 8 reported crashes, so the other 3 are unreported crashes or massive cannibalizations down to the bone. it is known they have attached F-7s to the F-16 squadrons for pilots to keep up flying hrs...

Re: IAF Jaguars & IL-78s in Italy
PAF capabilities have fallen off greatly since their glory days of the mid-60s , lack of funds has made them fall a lot behind. I am sure they have some good/great pilots , but in a F-7/F16A they arent competitive with the new HW floating around. their MirageIII/V fleet is worn out and probably kept...

PAF Haiders and all the rest in karachi will do precisely what I suggested. If the going is rough, asset preservation is paramount and they will withdraw to the west out of easy reach. The timeframe of cold start ops (10-14 days) leaves little room for any major naval ops imo other than wiping off the PN and hitting shore facilities like docks, warehouses, repair yards and POL storages with missiles from a distance. IN units sailing from Mumbai and Karwar would need about 1 day to...

anything below a (1 armour + 1 mech div) is not powerful enough to inflict grave casualties on PA holding formations which is the stated goal of CS - to draw PA into battle in certain areas and destroy their assets/manpower. Daulat, not if you have recce assets (iaf, uav) revealing everything behind the hill. 155mm shells would decimate the 'mongol army' long before your rohan horsemen with the long lances reached that line.

before B-52s get anywhere logistical nodes 1000km from the coast, US would need to fight and defeat the whole of IAF first.
So in effect you are declaring that US will declare war on india for the sake of saving Munna.

imo the indian biotech sector is climbing to a
higher level faster than the IT sector did. maybe its because they already knew plenty from
servicing the domestic economy after 1947, in IT we started from ground zero around 1980.
