Good step ahead. Good to know that the command and control structure is falling into place and necessary steps are being taked with the utmost seriousness at the highest levels. I love the govt. learning to become ambiguous and not telling all to the world. They're reading BRF? Lets speculate to our...

Re: Dhruv at Paris Air Show: Report
One of the things that occured to me while returning home that evening was that it would have been great of the Dhruv team passed out handouts about Dhruv & HAL to the general public visiting the expo. It should not cost a lot to print a few thousand 3 to 5 page brochures and distribute them. Th...

A real bummer that my trusted camera ran out of batteries before taking any Dhruv pictures :( :( , and I had no time to run around and buy more. CR123s have a reputation to die without warning  . I had a couple of friends snap pictures, and so I'll post the scans when I get the copies. Amarko.

Re: LCA is Named Tejas!!!
Great pictures from Sanjay Simha! Thank you sir! Some observations: KH2003 has the same paint scheme as KH2002, the only way to tell them apart would be a close look at the vertical tail plane. PV1 also seems to have a rectangular inlet just after the air intakes, any ideas what it is? See Tejas01.j...

Lets summarize the Fors and Againsts so far: Against: 1. We have a policy against foreign troops on our soil. (Can some one explain what exactly this policy is and what its covenants are?) 2. Letting US into J&K is internationalizing the Kashmiri dispute which should only be resolved bilaterally...

Re: Indo-US Operations in J&K
Sridhar, Just after Sep11 attacks, India has volunteered the use of our air bases to the US. And there was no opposition to this proposal within India. Joint excercises have been conducted at Agra, and so US soilders have been already allowed on our soil (not in a combat role of course) So, the idea...

As a matter of fact, those who go to fight and possibly die in defence of India have no disrespect for the...

shiv, Your assumption seems to be that for someone born in this country, the geographic area of birth/location; religion, caste, social background have some effect in his/her Indianness. Why stop there? Go deeper into state/city/colony/street or caste/subcaste/sect/subsect/... and then every possibl...
