Re: Issues faced by Commonwealth Games-New Delhi 2010

Aditya, and why did they start in 2008 when they had 7 years to prepare for games? The reason for starting only in 2008 is that honorable Mani Shankar as our esteemed sports minister sat on all decision making for years. Nothing at all happened in his tenure. Lots of people to be blamed and lots of ...

Re: J & K news and discussion

Well, the favourite young leader has been saying some gems like below, I'm sure he has the intellectual and professional efficiency in dealing with J&K situation - "Kashmir is not a part time problem, it is a full time problem." and "Politics is everywhere. its in your shirt, its ...

Re: J & K news and discussion

I agree with JE Menon that nothing much is going to happen. GOI will just sit on it and soon winters will start in valley. I don't think we're going to see those stone pelters in snow. More likely they're going to be indoors counting their cash earned for this season's rioting. Next year, they'll ha...

Things not looking good right now but not to despair. ISRO will get it right next time as they always have.

A bit disappointed but that is life.

Here's another PIL filing RM. May God help Rahul Mehra in his mission. I don't know what happened to his last case against BCCI but hoping something good will come out of this one. http://prempanicker.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/the-public-versus-indian-sport/ Every single sports body in this country h...

The eye candy is amazing! The best time is between 8 and 10 AM around Vishwavidyalaya, and between 3-7 PM at all these three locations. (This I assume from expected behaviour pattern of the feline species time of venturing out of caves). The candy is much better than Jammu - more numerous, more agg...

Imagine that in land of Islam.

Also, being TSPA brigadier has become second most dangerous job in world after Al Qaeda number 3.

And Adobe too announced a reduction in headcount by 600. They're closing down 2 offices in US, 1 in canada and reducing people in India as well.

600 is official figure, I guess many more are being told to leave on performance basis, which is outside the lay-off numbers.

Its a funny thing actually. My friend in HCL was asked to work longer hours when rupee was gaining against dollar. Their profits were hit when Rs. was almost 40-41 against dollar. Now the rupee is at 50+ against dollars and still, my friend is being asked to put in even longer hours as their profita...
