isnt it tradition on USN SAGs for a captain to run the carrier, a separate air wing commander and a full Admiral or vice-Admiral to command the overall battlegroup ?

few months back CCS approved imagery interpretation setups for each IA division HQ down from the current Area HQ 2 levels above. Looks like this exercise is the first where a Div HQ got such a facility and is a precursor for general deployment.

right now the best bet for those with local contacts / relatives is to buy flats or plots of land in pre-launch phase and sell them a couple of yrs later at a handsome profit say 50% over the cost.

upto a certain stage one hides the true capability, beyond a inflection point it is more intimidating to show off the ability (the US does this well). looks like we are past that now.

big militaries who are secretive and evasive have plenty of weak points - soviet union, PRC, north korea, pakistan.

the French by themselves have no readymade german AIP or VLS soln. afaik not even their SSNs have VLS cells it will cost a bazillion $$ and a decade to design a plug in VLS module, integrate Brahmos with the french VLS system, get the germans to work with the french for the AIP.
