On paper, FGFA may offer India unprecedented access to "strategic technology" but whether it will happen in practice is the worry of most keyboard warriors... Now IAF also seem to share it. 6 billion $ is a huge investment the returns should be quite substantial to make it justifiable.

The problem is Indian Army is not much tolerant to small faults unlike say Pakistan. If DRDO made the gun with a weight of 12.5 tons instead of 12 tons would Army induct or not? Past experience like Arjun indicate they wont!

we should buy PAKFA if it is better than JSF. But no development funding!!! We have got shafted in Brahmos and Al-55 deals by Russia and Barak deal by Israel.

All funding should be concentrated on AMCA and LCA Mk2.

Philip, pls dont peddle the An-124 cheaper than C-17 nonsense. Pls wait till new An-124 makes its flight; then we can discuss. There was a time when Russian stuff was the cheapest (if not most capable); but that time is past now. I dont expect An-124 to be cheaper than C-17 on TCO basis.

I somehow do not subscribe to majority view that AAP is B team of congress. It seems to be an opportune movement created by Kejriwal which will die within next 4-5 years once the "volunteers" realise that real world problems cant be solved by idealism only.
