Re: MRCA (Many Rakshaks Choose Aircraft) Contest - Episode III
More Tejas? the IAF is already stating that they'll go in for 83 Tejas Mk1As and then transition to the Tejas Mk2, with ~12 squadrons of the Mk2. If the IAF put it's faith in ADA, HAL and DRDO to deliver, will they still be able to deliver so many fighters in this decade? If the IAF has to let go o...

The louder the han screams, the more we know the pain is. All the Dar that certain interests were muttering about their diplomatic talk laying the road for war has fizzled out. They are desperate for face saving.

Just like the noise level got higher when the LCA reached FOC, the noise level seems to be getting higher after the LUH trials. The era of imports and screwdriver giri is on the way out and there is nothing any vested interest can do about it.

Thing is we are buying ~100 A320/B373 aircraft every year (before Covid at least) but neither players have offered to set up an assembly line here (Airbus for example has one in US and in China) - of the huge amounts we are spending on commercial aircraft we are not getting any significant industri...

Just the possibility of exporting up to 10 Netra systems to friendly nations alone shall offset the cost sunk into Embraer acquisition by a great margin. Re: Military Acquisitions, Partnerships & Developments
The Udaan scheme (whose total aircraft demand will be relatively small) requires a Turboprop airliner the size of the Atr or smaller. The current Embraer portfolio has nothing that will fill that. A small jet has no chance against a turboprop in the Indian market for reasons of operating cost. Even...

Nothing that the Chinese are doing makes any sense. Maybe the sun tzu manual runs out when faced with the robust response from the current GOI. Even the noise about eleven's local troubles do not support this situation.
