After India took the heights in South Pangong, it is expected that China will mount some kind of operation to dislodge IA from the heights.

The question is can India try an operation to evict them from finger 4 and Gogra area?

Based on that FT article, the crux of China's problem seems to India developing defence infrastructure in Ladakh. That is why they are making new claims to affect the infrastructure development.

Perkovich solutions regarding India will surely make India unfriendly towards the US. Not sure what US will gain: it will neither tame Pakistan and piss off India. Very scholarly. Even when US was the dominant superpower in early 90s, this policy would have not worked.

Leaving the TN aside, is it accurate to say that all India can deliver is a 20KT bomb? Can't India make 200Kt reliable boosted fission bomb? Would be heavier or sure compared to TN.

Why does Bharat Karnad say India can produce only 20Kt weapons. Didn't Arun Prakash say that there should be no doubt about a 400Kt(?) boosted fission bomb.
