Re: Genealogy of Castes and Tribes

Guys is discussing the origins and genetics of ethnic groups the right thing to do in today's day and age. I know this is a very complex issue. Also how do we define origination in India? Does it really matter if my ancestors came as invaders 2000-3000 years ago or are home grown 2000-3000 years ago?

There is gotta be a way for guys and gals to interact and fall in love and stuff. I mean if u dont tell guys what is proper and what is not, they get confused. A lot of guys are just confused about right and wrong. They are not depraved or frustrated creatures. In any case, no woman should be subjec...

Re: Women's status in Indian society

Here is a theory of mine. The more a society accepts women wearing skimpy clothes the more woman emancipated it is. For skimpy clothes are not a license or invitation for harassment. In other words the responsibility for treating women well is on the guys rather than the victims. The most backward i...

Aditi, The apathy to the accident victims is totally unrelated to this issue. Even Delhiites are not inhuman. Thing is if u try to do anything the police will hound and harass you to death. Re: Women's status in Indian society

Problem is on many fronts. Actually rahul mehta is right there. A stronger rule of law is required. I still maintain that women cannot be expected to defend themselves physically as a matter of course. At least not until we allow the right to own guns as a fundamental right. Its easy to say defend u...

Re: Women's status in Indian society

The security of the female is still the primary responsibility of the male. We cant expect the women to take arms/ slap offenders in buses. I am fairly sure in Delhi at least the janta would not come in support of the woman. The woman obviously does not want to get into any firther trouble. Moreover...

Victor, Please note that there is no language called muslim. Hindus dont have a copyright over Sanskrit and Hindi. Same goes for Muslims and Urdu or Arabic. They belong to everybody who speaks them. Connecting religion and language is a fundamental premise of the 2 nation theory. Thanks. Atish.
