wheeled Dhruv versions are there in IAF too...so are the ones built for NDMA, ONGC etc.

reagarding the cage, the launchers on other ships have a flight of steps built on them for maintenance purposes. It seems they built the cage around the steps for safety reasons (akin to the cage around the ladders on cellphone towers). JMT.

I reason why I asked is I saw a pic of the bird, with a modified nose section (most likely a weather radar). I don't know if it is meant for us or a prototype.

simple trick. Check where the air intakes are located incase you find similar looking a/c.
eg. Su-30 : intakes are located below the mainplane aft the leading edge.
F-15 : intakes are located inline & fore the leading edge of the mainplane.

I dont think the jawans complaining of losing the will to fight belonged to the COBRA battalion - at least from the article, it doesn't seem to be the case.
Even I think the same...COBRA guys were the one who initially spoke to the journalist in english.
