As I understand it, Serviceability relates to an aircraft being available to fly at any time, which could also means readiness. Availability would also include serviceability of all the munitions and sensors required for the mission. But I could be wrong.

Vidurji,
As a thought exercise, if we were to amalgamate all CAPF involved in border protection under a single entity, how would we go about that?

The BSF website also states the same, quoting it verbatim, "The BSF raised in 1965 with the specific purpose of manning the Indian border as the 'First Line of Defence' against infiltration, smuggling and military assault, can hardly be said to comprise an enviable job." Given this, I do n...

A "simple" solution exists to address this, combine all three CAPF involved in border protection under a single force structure, enabling building of an comabt oriented ethos along with their regular policing roles and since it would be reclassified as a paramilitary unit along the lines o...

Glad to see someone pitch the case for a NLCA based LIFT!! It's a low hanging fruit ripe for picking, giving IN a huge boost in its Air warfare capabilities and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the MiG29K platform, which are clearly not living upto the expectations.

If you can find that link out, it would be great. A real engine in an enclosed aircraft is very unlikely (for all the obvious reasons) but that image could have been of a large APU? It would be an APU, not an actual aircraft engine of the kind that flies the plane. It most certainly wasn't an APU. ...

The distance, as the crow flies, between Jamnagar and Masirah is just about 1200kms, well within the advertised range for internal fuel of 2100Kms of the UPG.
