ISI agent, linked to Pakistan official in Sri Lanka, held in Chennai

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 390661.cms
CHENNAI: Central intelligence agencies and the Tamil Nadu police claim to have busted a major terror network with the arrest of an ISI suspect in Chennai on Tuesday.

Highly placed sources confirmed to the TOI that a 37-year-old man of Sri Lankan nationality, Zaheer Hussain, allegedly linked to a Pakistani terror outfit, was picked up in a joint operation of Central and state police forces.

The terror suspect, hailing from Kandy in Sri Lanka's Central Province, has been remanded in judicial custody by a magistrate court in Chennai, sources said.

Hussain has been tasked by a senior official in the Pakistan High commission in Colombo to recruit youths from south India, especially in Tamil Nadu for terror activities, intelligence sources said.

Based on a tip off that "a person with close links with a Pakistan high commission official in Colombo" was involved in head hunting for the ISI, the state Q branch, a specialized wing of the police department dealing in terror and fundamentalist outfits, laid a trap.

A couple of weeks ago, the central intelligence alerted the Tamil Nadu police to closely monitor passengers flying in from Sri Lanka.

Tamil Nadu police confirmed that Hussain was nabbed on Tuesday and was found to have flown in with a tourist visa.

Hussain was remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday evening and lodged in Puzhal prison. He has been charged under IPC 120 B (conspiracy) and 480 C besides sections 16 and 17 of Prevention of Unlawful Activities.

"In his confession, he admitted to the role of a Pakistani official. It was a shocking revelation. We got some explosive information. The operation is still on," a senior official said.

The arrest of Hussain and his "explosive confessional statement", sent to the home ministry, has sent shock waves among the country's prime anti-terror agencies, police sources said.

The arrest has activated intelligence teams, which are said to be closely monitoring south India. Police sources said the Pakistani official has been involved in the recruitment process for ISI and to circulate fake currency notes in India for more than two years. During the interrogation, Hussain revealed his contacts in Chennai and few other cities in the state.

In September 2012, the Tamil Nadu Q branch had nabbed A Tamim Ansari in Trichy when he was on his way to board a flight to Sri Lanka with a bunch of secret Indian naval documents and graphics loaded into compact discs.

Ansari was dealing in foreign footwear and was also exporting vegetables. An intelligence officer had stated then that the export business was only a facade to gain acceptability at some strategic levels and he had also in his possession photographs of the Trichy airport shot from various angles. He was booked under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

Eh? The state police Q branch surveils and captures the guy and you're accusing the Chief Minister of fostering them. What's the connection? The state police is more or less an instrument of the government. You'd think if she was involved no one would be getting caught.

Tamil Nadu has become a safe haven for Indian Mujahideen terrorists.

Indian Mujahideen Operative Held
An Indian Mujahideen operative was today arrested in Tamil Nadu in connection with IM's sleeper module in Rajasthan which was busted by the state ATS and Delhi Police special cell in March.

40-year-old Ashraf Ali, who was arrested by the Rajasthan ATS, is the main accused in setting up and coordinating with the sleeper IM modules in Jodhpur.

Ali belongs to Uttar Pradesh and was running a footwear shop in Jodhpur before the module was busted in March, ADG ATS, Alok Tripathi said.

After terrorists Saquib and Barkat were held in Jodhpur with explosives, he immediately left Jodhpur for Delhi by train. From there he travelled to Tamil Nadu by train and was staying there.

Some arrests in connection with the IM module were also made from Jaipur and Sikar.

During investigation and questioning of the arrested terrorists, Ali's name cropped up following which he was held by the Rajasthan ATS team in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore district and was placed under arrest today.

That's a logical incongruity. You'd like people to be arrested but when they're arrested you wonder how they came to be there. There is absolutely no winning with that logic. Now, were the administration to refuse to tackle suspects or refuse cooperation with other agencies to curb terrorism, like in Bihar, then a case may be made. Certainly JJ is nothing like the DMK, whose actions on the coimbatore blasts are well known.

Criticism of this nature is why no government wants to act tough on Islamic fundamentalism in India. There is literally no political gain from acting on it. Much easier to go the DMK way. At least that constituency is easier to satisfy and has a clearer idea of what it wants.

Arranged meetings of DU prof with Naxals

Chhattisgarh Police on Monday paraded suspected Maoist Badri Gawde, who claimed to have facilitated meetings between DU Professor Nandini Sundar and other Maoists, before the media in Raipur.

Gawde, a Congress worker, also claimed that Sundar had formed Rawghat Rail Sangharsh Samiti at the behest of Maoists to oppose the rail project in the region. Maoists have opposed the project that will facilitate iron ore mining in Kanker.

ADG (Intel) Mukesh Gupta said police have several important leads on Sundar’s involvement in the issue. Issuing a strong rebuttal, Sundar said: “Security agencies in Chhattisgarh are putting out a story that I have been taking up the Rawghat issue at the behest of the Maoists. I want to make it plain as I have done many times in the past that in any manner I don’t support the ideology and strategies of the Maoists in Chhattisgarh or anywhere else.

“I believe that the rights of the tribals are being severely compromised by both the Maoists and the State agencies, and it is my concern for Adivasi rights that has led me to file a petition in the Supreme Court to defend their right to life.

“In the past as well, Chhattisgarh Police has tried to frame me by circulating fabricated photographs showing me with armed Maoists. It is entirely likely that they will again try to frame me for their failure to comply with the SC judgment on disbanding the lawless and illegitimate force armed by them, and all the other directions of the SC such as to vacate schools and compensate all those affected in the conflict,” she said.
Guess who Nandini Sundar is married to, CIA agent Siddharth Varadarajan

ISI planned terror attacks on US consulate, Chennai and Israeli Consulate, Bengaluru - ToI
Central security agencies have claimed that Pakistan's ISI had plans to carry out terror attacks on two foreign consulates in India with evidence for this reportedly given by a Sri Lankan national, arrested from Chennai, during his interrogation.

Official sources claimed on Sunday that Sakir Hussain, a Sri Lankan national, told his interrogators that he had been hired allegedly by an official in Pakistani high commission in Colombo as part of the ISI's alleged plans to conduct reconnaissance of US consulate in Chennai and Israeli consulate in Bengaluru.

Hussain was arrested on April 29 in a coordinated operation involving various countries including a southeast Asian nation.

He is reported to have told the interrogators that Pakistan's spy agency was planning to send two men from Maldives to Chennai and that he had to arrange for their travel documents and hideouts.

Hussain's name cropped up during an investigation in a southeast Asian country which tipped a central security agency in India about possible attack on US and Israeli consulates, the sources said.

An immediate surveillance led the investigators to Husain who had been constantly shifting his base in neighbouring Sri Lanka prompting the sleuths to seek cooperation of the island nation, the sources said.

After Hussain's arrival in Chennai, he was picked up and subjected to sustained interrogation during which, the sources claimed, he spoke about a possible terror strike on the two consulates.

During interrogation, Hussain reportedly took the name of Amir Zubair Siddiq, who is counsellor (visa) at Pakistan high commission in Colombo, as his alleged handler and also said he had been chosen as he was engaged in human trafficking, making of forged passports and smuggling of fake Indian currency.

The sleuths recovered pictures of US and Israeli consulates showing various gates and roads leading to the two premises, the sources said, and claimed that these pictures had been mailed to his alleged handlers in Pakistan and its high commission in Colombo.

Cyber signatures showed that the pictures were downloaded at a computer within the premises of Pakistan high commission at Colombo and the same had been shared with Sri Lankan authorities, the sources claimed. Muhammad Daud Ehtisham, press attache, High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, has dismissed as speculative in nature the charge of ISI's alleged involvement in any attack plans.

Observing that this seemed to be a "malicious media campaign", Ehtisham has been quoted as having said that Pakistan and its state institutions are responsible entities and do not indulge in such activities. :rotfl:

The sources claimed that a proper sketch prepared about the roads leading to the two consulates were also uploaded and emailed in Portable Document Format (PDF).

Sri Lankan authorities were carrying out a probe at its end to fill in the gaps in the investigations being carried out by India besides corroborating the version of Hussain.

Siddiq is not a new name for intelligence agencies as he figured earlier as well in 2012-13 when central security agencies picked up one Tameem Ansari, a frequent flier from Trichy to Colombo. Ansari was arrested after six months of surveillance in 2012.

Ansari, a small trader who sent, among other things, potatoes and onions to Sri Lanka, was in touch with Haji, a Tamil-speaking Muslim from Colombo.

Since Ansari's business was not doing well, Haji allegedly introduced him to Siddiq in the Pakistan mission in Colombo, and his second in command, Shaji.

After reportedly brainwashing him, Siddiq roped him to take videos of the Nagapattinam port, the ships that berthed there, the topography and other dimensions as well as Mallipattinam, traditionally a landing point.

The sources said the apparent strategy being followed by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was to rope in Muslims from Sri Lanka for executing their plans to give credibility to the deniability factor that it was not involved in any way.

India is staring down a long and arduous legal process to extradite alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) financer Abdul Wahid Siddibappa from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Islamabad claiming him to be a Pakistani national, counter-terror sources told HT.

“Pakistan is creating hurdles in the extradition of Siddibappa who is not only a cousin of jailed top IM operative Ahmad Siddibappa alias Yasin Bhatkal but is also believed to be brother-in-law of Riyaz Bhatkal, another key IM operative now based in Pakistan. Islamabad is trying to portray Wahid as a Pak national to stop his extradition to India,” said a counter-terror official requesting anonymity.

Wahid, 32, was arrested in Abu Dhabi in January this year. But rather than being deported like fellow IM suspect Faizan Azmi from Sharjah on Friday, the Abu Dhabi authorities decided to formally arrest him setting in motion a long legal process of extradition.

“The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sent a formal request for his extradition with all the evidence about his Indian nationality. But it seems that with one after another terror suspects being deported to India, especially from Saudi Arabia and UAE, Pakistan has decided to make things difficult for India as far as Wahid’s case is concerned,” said the official.

Seems to have missed the attention in the Election Heat.
Maoists kill 7 cops in Gadchiroli a day after DU professor's arrest

Seven police personnel were killed and three others injured in a powerful landmine blast triggered by Maoist rebels in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Sunday morning in the first major strike by the banned outfit in the state this year.

The attack came a day after Gadchiroli police arrested Delhi University professor GN Saibaba for his alleged links with Maoists.

The incident occurred at around 9.40 am near Murmuri village under Chamorshi tahsil -- some 350 km from here -- when a convoy of eight police vans with C-60 jawans, an elite anti-Maoist squad, was returning from a nearby jungle after a routine anti-Maoist operation.

After one of the police vans blew up, the lurking Maoists opened indiscriminate fire. The police retaliated and the heavy exchange of fire continued for over half an hour.

Unable to sustain the strong police offensive and anticipating additional police forces reaching there, the Red rebels fled into the dense jungles.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Ravindra Kadam, the inspector general of police (IGP), Nagpur range, informed that the injured jawans were airlifted to Nagpur and additional reinforcements of security personnel have been sent. Senior police personnel have also rushed to the spot.

The police jawans who were killed in the landmine blast include: Tripuat Alam, Sunil Madavi, Durudhon Naktode, Roshan Dhambhare, Suvash Kumre, S Mundhe (driver of the vehicle) and Deepak Diwte. Among the injured jawans, the condition of Hemant Bansod and Pankaj Sidam are reported to be very serious.

"All the bodies have been brought to the police headquarters at Gadchiroli. The area has been sealed and combing operation by a joint team of state police and CRPF is on," said Kadam.

Police sources said Saibaba was booked in an offence by Aheri police in the district last year following a search and seizure operation at his residence in Delhi.

It yielded several incriminating documents and records that helped police establish his connection with the central committee of the CPI (Maoist).

An English teacher from Ramlal Anand College in Delhi, Saibaba, had come under scanner of Gadchiroli police following the arrests of Hem Mishra and Prashant Rahi, who used to work as couriers of left-wing extremists. It was in their interrogation that Saibaba's role came to fore.
However, no official statement was issued by the Maoists in this regard so far.

Major maoist violence in Gadchiroli

** Seven suspected Maoists were gunned down in the district in February this year.
** As many as 39 suspected rebels were killed by police in different operations in the district since January, 2013
** 12 CRPF jawans were killed in a landmine blast in north Gadchiroli on March 27, 2012.
** 15 police personnel were gunned down by red rebels near Murumgaon in the district on February 1, 2012.
** Six members of a marriage party killed on May 5, 2011 near Kasansur in Bhamragarh tehsil.
** Maoists killed 17 policemen on October 8, 2009, near Laheri under Bhamragarh tahsil of south Gadchiroli.
** Maoist rebels killed 16 police persons including five women constables in an attack on May 21, 2009 near Tawetola in Dhanora tahsil of north Gadchiroli.
** Three persons, including a sarpanch and senior official of a corporate house were killed by Maoists near Surajgarh in the district on June 13 last year.
May the Jawans attain Moksha.

That is one of the best features of Sikhs, and I feel that they are also loyal to India. If you see the Video about the Video where Sagarika Ghose interviewed kashmiri youth who supported pakistan, on the street, most of folk who supported India were Sikhs.

They are also active in defending themselves as one group.

But they also get a free pass. Note the complete silence in the MSM of this riot. Had it been Hindus with trishuls who had assembled, and forget slaying some RoPers, merely raised slogans, there would have been clamours now to redo the elections and arrest Modi.

From what I heard from my friends is that Sikhs actually facilitated the meeting of three faithfuls with allah, immediately after the flag was burnt.

Hence I paid my homage to Sikh pantha on twitter. Guru govindsingh ji has found a way of letting the guilt in hindu mind vanish, when it comes to violence and retaliation. Shivaji did it in maratas too, but it was strictly political. Guruji took it to whole new level - from where its very difficult to dislodge.

only some of the lutyens based dilli-billi sikhs are pappi-jhappi prone. Rest are lions like the ones in Hyd.

New IM Module Suspected to be Behind Chennai Train Blasts - V.S.Palaniappan, The Hindu
South Indian Mujahideen (SIM), a hitherto unknown separate module of the Indian Mujahideen, is now suspected to be behind the twin blasts on the Bangalore-Guwahati Express at Chennai Central on May 1, according to investigators.

Although initially the Indian Mujahideen was thought to be directly involved in the blasts, the police are currently investigating if the person they are looking for, Abubacker Siddique, had formed an independent self-styled South Indian Mujahideen. The operatives behind the train explosions are believed to be home-grown Islamist terrorists.

While the blasts are seen as retaliation for the recent arrests of secret operatives in Chennai, whether they are linked to a larger transnational plot remains unclear.

Siddique, the police say, is known for precision killing, aiming only specific targets in Hindutva outfits. After sustained interrogation of Islamist extremists already under arrest, Panna Ismail, Bilal Malik and Police Fakrudeen, investigators believe that he might have been roped in to plan the blasts for triggering panic, and not claiming lives.

The low-intensity explosives placed in the train were facing the floor so as to minimise the impact of the blasts. They were triggered by a timer and not a remote control. {This conclusion need not be correct. Why should these hardened and brainwashed jihadists go to such lengths just to create panic? It may be that the baggage got displaced for various reasons during the journey} Had the train been on time, the explosives would have gone off at Sullurpet in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, where the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, was to speak at an election rally in the evening in Nellore.

Ismail, Malik and Fakrudeen were arrested in the Puthur operation on October 5, 2013 in connection with a series of communal murders in Vellore, Salem and Madurai and the planting of a pipe bomb on the Rath Yatra route of the BJP leader L.K. Advani.

Going by the “signature of the blast” (the remnants and pattern of explosion), the police have identified similarities with the blasts in Patna. {which means that the SIM is indeed a part of the IM. What is in a name?}

Dear JNU, the next government won't have to work too hard to straighten you guys out...

Interesting that the media and IB is beginning to talk about this sort of thing more now...

More scholars on IB radar for ‘pro-Maoist’ ideology
Around six civil society activists — including academicians, student leaders and even representatives of prominent international NGOs — are on the intelligence establishment’s scanner and under constant surveillance in the capital, HT has learnt.

According to senior Delhi Police officials, Delhi University English professor GN Saibaba, who was recently arrested, had been on the special cell’s radar for over a decade.

“We maintain a check on six to eight persons whom we have reason to believe have ideological links with the Naxal movement,” said an intelligence official.

“They have a sizeable presence in the national capital region and have open contact with several NGOs that are steps away from being officially proscribed by the government,” the official added.

Sources told HT that these consisted of senior professors and student leaders across DU, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Jamia Milia Islamia where they are known to organise programmes and discussions ‘based on Leftwing politics and the Naxal movement in the country’; even religion.

On February 26, for instance, the Intelligence Bureau stepped up its surveillance on a prominent faculty member at JNU after he allegedly helped organise ‘an open dialogue’ between students and the representative of an international NGO on the Gujarat riots of 2002.

“He was a special rapporteur and had delivered lectures on freedom of religion at several locations, including universities, before approaching the professor at JNU,” an official said. Be that as it may, civil society felt this was not unusual.

“I am aware that several people are under surveillance. I know my phones are tapped and several people have told me this. While it is certainly undemocratic, since I am not committing a crime, they can do what they want,” said Nandini Sundar, who teaches sociology at Delhi School of Economics and is a vocal supporter of tribal rights.

Okay, so now it is a "secular" blast. I was believing that it was some Hindu Namboodiris who were behind this, and that a few Jains may have helped them out as well. But...now...

This gives me a feeling that IB is keeping a tab on every one across idealogies and political spectrum. And they are smart enough to "present/report" the relevant data which the current set of rulers want :). So if UPA wants to get data on lumpen Hindu elements, IB has it ready. And if now NDA wanted the commie intellectual ready-reckoner, IB is ready with that too ;).

Regarding the Riot, in Hydrabad. The presence of the police and the BSF points to this being a well thought out plan by the miscreants to create trouble. Almost similar to the last year's mass exodous of the North-eastern students from the southern India.

Only difference seemed to be that the Sikhs were prepared to climb the escalation ladder, as high as they needed to climb, in order to enforce the peace. With no sign of WKKits.

On the other hand, this could have been gamed by the peacefull community to lure the Sikhs into a trap and then cause major damage. The presence of the second mob, trying to out flank the groups suggests the same.

'South Asian' man arrested in KL for planned terror attacks in Chennai & Bengaluru - Straits Times
PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A South Asian man has been detained for terrorism activities and allegedly planning to attack foreign consulates in India.

Bukit Aman Special Branch Counter Terrorism Unit picked up the man at about 11.15am on Wednesday following a raid in a housing area in Kepong.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin said the man is believed to be involved in a plan to attack foreign consulates in Chennai and Bangalore in India.

He said the unit had been monitoring the man since December last year after "we discovered that he was involved in planned terror attacks."
Read this in conjunction with this.

It is now clear that the tip for the Chennai police had indeed come from Malaysia.

^^^ Master stroke by Pakis and Goras to create a new identity called "South Asian" -- the whole world keep wondering if the terrorist was an Indian or Bangladeshi or Sri Lankan or Bhutanese

Threat to Narendra Modi: Are terror outfits getting desperate?
The operatives chanted slogans saying, “Ab ki baar Modi ka number”, and “Taliban Zindabad”, on the district court premises when they were produced for a hearing there on 16 May. Coincidently, the slogans were raised almost at the same time when Modi was being welcomed in Delhi after his historic win. According to Bhopal police and eye-witnesses, 18 jailed SIMI operatives, including its Madhya Pradesh head and terror accused Abu Faisal, raised pro-Taliban and anti-Modi slogans after a hearing on terror-related cases and the Khandwa jailbreak. Taking everyone by surprise, Faisal and his associates in the presence of the media and public raised inflammatory slogans hailing the Taliban and issued a ‘threat’ to Modi -- “Now, it is Modi’s turn.” “It reflects the panic among the accused, who have been allegedly involved in anti-national activities, especially with Modiji ascending to power at the Centre, who has made clear his zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Next time we have decided to have hearing within jail premises through video-conferencing,” Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur told Firstpost.
Ahead of the Vidhan Sabha election in Chhattisgarh, consecutive arrests of SIMI operatives allegedly linked to Indian Mujahideen (IM) in Raipur in 2013, exposed an alarming security condition in what is otherwise is known as a communally peaceful state, unlike MP which already has a base of SIMI operations. Prior to Modi’s rally on 14 November 2013, a sleeper cell comprising SIMI members conducted a recee of the area, as the aim was to attack Modi during the rally. According to the Chhattisgarh police, the key SIMI member Umer Siddiqui, who was arrested and used to run a coaching centre in Raipur city, was in touch with IM operatives — Haidar Ali alias Abdullah, Numan Ansari, Taufeeq Ansari and Mojibullah who were allegedly involved in the Bodh Gaya and Patna blasts on 7 July and 27 October 2013 respectively. “After failing in Patna, the objective of IM was to target Narendra Modi in Raipur during the campaigning for assembly polls as he was considered ‘anti-Islam’ by them, but they failed to execute the plan as Chhattisgarh police raided and arrested members of sleeper cells,” a central intelligence source said on condition of anonymity. “We keep getting alerts on such kind of activities from various states and the one happened in Bhopal may be considered as a warning,” the source said. “These sleeper cells of SIMI-IM combine supported by Pakistan are dangerous and they have silently been operating since long across the country. The Bhopal incident is a kind of warning, as the SIMI operatives wanted to make their presence felt,” said Anil Kamboj, ex-senior fellow, Institute for Defence Studies & Analysis, and an internal security expert.

Australian adventurer becomes victim of false alarm - The Hindu
Kayak adventurer Sandra Helen Robson from Western Australia, who was near Pulicat lake on Sunday during the course of a global expedition, was stopped by fishermen and turned over to the police on grounds of suspicion.

Though she was released by the police after enquiries, she has halted her expedition temporarily and stayed on in Pulicat, angered at the treatment meted out to her.

Ms. Robson is trying to retrace the German canoeist Oskar Speck’s expedition (1932-39) from Germany to Australia over a distance of 50,000 km. She has been on the Speck Expedition trail since May 2011 and hopes to finish it by 2016, cutting Speck’s expedition time by two years.

‘Acting as per advice’

A senior police official of Thiruvallur District said that the fishermen were only acting as per advice given to them by the police to be cautious about any unknown persons in the waters.
One really appreciates the fishermen of Pulicat lake on whose border is SHAR. They must be commended.

The Chindu upto its usual tricks is trying to spin a sensational headline of white person getting victimised in India.

Sridhar saar, those fishermen are doing a duty which public in general is not aware of. One usually only thinks of government security agencies securing such installations.

Ms Robson seems to have a sense of entitlement and expects all fishermen and official authorities to show her around and help her no matter where she wants to go. I have looked up entries on her webpage wherein lots of Indians, both in government and privately have helped her, even as recently as yesterday. She would surely have been told by these friendly people not to nose around near Sriharikota. But, then she decided to invite trouble anyway and now claims victimhood. By the way, she has been questioned couple of times and has been helped several times before too by the police. She is needlessly whining this time and trying standard tactics of showcasing the Indian police as boorish and aggressive.

I also tried to search online if Oskar Speck actually went into the Pulicat lake or onto Sriharikota, but found no sources.

Here is a snippet of her log to support what I wrote

The crew from the RMYC helped me launch in the morning and then I had company on the water as far as Ennore port with the police boat and a yacht from RMYC. Tonight the adventure-nature crew are camping at Pulicat with me on the beach. It feels like a warm send off from my adventures in Tamil Nadu...thanks so much all of you for your kind support of my expedition. Tomorrow I cross into Andhra Pradesh.

It was a pleasure in the morning to have breakfast at the home of Murthy the local surfing legend. Police picked me up and drove me there in the morning early. After taking a look at the surf school and the surf point we had a traditional TN breakfast and then they helped me retrieve my kayak from the overnight storage at the fisheries research facility and launch. It only took about 30mins to paddle to my friends place in Muttukadu, and Murthy helped me with the steep beach landing. Then I started packing up the folding kayak and getting the new kayak ready to go.
The next paddling day will be on may 15th when I will proceed to Chennai city where I can camp at the Royal Madras Yacht Club Annexe. Til then repairs, preparing charts and logistics for the trip north. From Chennai it is going to be tough as my local support network thins out, but new friendships are on my horizon I am sure.
Stay tuned for next update on the 15th.

Filio and the Pondy coastguard commandant waved me off in the morning and I had planned to go in to Alamparai lagoon near the fort. I made fast progress in the wind and swell and powered by quiche and other treats from the Bakery - good good lunch! I even had a mango and a kiwi fruit!
Then on arrival whilst looking for the entry which actually did not exist, I got slammed by a big wave and the kayak nose dived and I was in the water up to the cockpit and fighting to stay upright with a good brace!
The brace worked but the kayak got a lot of water inside and was now sluggish, so I planned a landing in the village but with the fishing ban and weekend no fishermen at hand to help me land heavy boat in heavy shore dump. To cut a long story short. Eventually I found a fisherman and Filio, pondy coastguard and local police assisted me and I am now the first guest of the new lighthouse here. Security is good here :) happy Tomorrow hope some fishermen will help me launch. Hope to make a big distance tomorrow. Thanks Filio for driving from pondy to help out. Champion :) I would love anyone willing to do shore support on future landings to contact me....need it in these steep beaches.

She needs to be apologise for her mistake and be careful of Indian sensitivities since she is already well aware of the fact that Indians are her well wishers.
