Paki Madressa targets 2000 Hindu girl abduction/conversion per year

Hindu women in Pakistan are being pressured into converting to Islam, says AsiaNews.it. The conversions are forced through “violence and coercion. [And] Looming in the background is the blasphemy law, seen by many as the most serious obstacle to social and cultural equality.”

Forced conversions of Hindu girls and women are nothing new, although they have been getting more attention lately due to the high profile abduction of Rinkle Kumari and the high profile of some of those involved in the crime. Rinkle, a 17-year-old Hindu girl, was violently attacked and kidnapped by a mob of Muslim men, “with the help of a member of the [local government] National Assembly,” reports the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC). Local “Muslim fundamentalist groups” were also involved. “Following her abduction,” says the AHRC, “she was forced to embrace Islam.”

“Naveed Shah, a member of a famous criminal group of Hassam Kalwarh, along with more than dozen persons abducted Kumari from her house on 23 February,” says the AHRC. “They kidnapped her at gunpoint and took her to…...

From Paki Tribune
For many, it may be good news as a Hindu girl has ‘embraced’ Islam and has become an addition to the Ummah. Some may also believe that by getting her convert to Islam, one of them might get a berth booked in the Heaven as well, as it is generally perceived or believed

From the comments above --- some discrepancies, but believable...
Rinkal Kumari, a 17 Year Hindu Girl, from Mirpur Mathelo Sindh Pakistan, was kidnapped by a mob on 23rd February 2012 while she was returning home from her college.

After being kidnapped, she was taken to Barkandi Shareef (a small village near Mirpur Mathelo, Sindh, Pakistan) and was put under the custody of Feudal named Mian Mithoo (MNA). The victim, Rinkal, was harrowed by Mian Mithoo to convert to Islam and then get married with Naveed Shah, a resident of the same area. Under defenseless circumstances along with physical abuse, Rinkal married Naveed Shah.

Rinkal’s family approached the local law enforcement to seek justice but to no avail. The Policemen, negatively influenced by Mian Mithoo, denied the rights of Rinkal’s family to lodge a complaint. After 5 hours of struggle, pleading and literal beseech, the Police finally accepted a written complaint from Rinkal’s family and issued a First Information Report (F.I.R) saying that the case will be presented at 10 am 24th February 2012 in Ghotki Local Court.Plan Changed and the victim was taken to a different court in Mirpurmathelo and hearing was reschuled to 9:00am from 10:00am. These location and time changes were influenced by Mian Mithoo and Rinkal family were not informed about this change. However, knowing this information from an unknown source, Rinkal’s family reached that place early but they were blocked from entering the court premises by private gunmen (hired by Mian Mithoo) with heavy artillery as seen in the pictures below....

During the hearing, Rinkel admitted to being subjected to all the harassment, threat to her and her family members’ lives. Mian Mithoo meddled in and physically and verbally abused her by slapping her brutally before the Judge and asked her to shut her mouth.Crippled and helpless Rinkel started crying inconsolably and begged the Judge to let her go to her parents.

The court was adjourned for the next 2 days and Mian Mithoo again influenced the law system and 2 days later he forcibly got Rinkal married to Naveed Shah. All this drama grabbed media attention but the news published by local media was exactly opposite to what actually happened.

It was published in news papers and broadcasted on TV saying that Rinkal willfully converted to Islam and married Naveed and also that she was allowed to meet her family during the judgement. (These statements are entirely wrong). Mr. Raj Kumar (Rinkal’s Uncle) called for a press conference and denied what was published and broadcasted in media.

Rinkal and her family are constantly being tortured and threatened. Law and Order in the area are polluted and influenced by politicians and there is no other option Rinkal is left with besides killing herself..

The moral keepers of pakistan are watching silently the abuse of Hindu girl inside the court room in front of the judge. This chap miya mithoo and his gang of kidnappers and rapists should be investigated.

^^^^Second that.
(1) It is an internal affair of a country which is itself a victim of terrorism. Hence it cannot have any responsibility to check such events.
(2) If we highlight such things it will prevent our attempt to promote democracy and strengthen the hands of civilian government like the courts and the police - and instead help the military.
(3) It may also affect trade between the countries and prevent growth of Indian prosperity.
(4) Since no protests are coming from the larger Islamic hinterland about such things happening, we should realize that our taller than mountains and deeper than oceanic friendship with the larger regional Gulf Muslim countries - will be affected adversely if we see such conversions negatively.
(5) Our energy needs and prevention of terrorist attacks on India is crucial - so we should do as we have done for the Iranian bombing of Israeli lady's car. Protest very very quietly and so subtly that our energy needs are not affected.
(6) Continuing to highlight such happenings only reinforces our victimhood mentality. Ignoring such happenings [after all thousands of Hindu girls were treated even worse in 1947 which we were able to smoothly convert into natural birth pangs of a delivering mother and nobody's fault or crime] is the way to go - for that will stop others seeing our victimhood.

RajeshA garu,
bji's reply is fitting. sorry but sometimes the nitpicking on "rules" is not necessary. this is a thread of Islamism. and this topic of converting Hindu girls to Islam definitely falls under that category. it is a blatant form of the rapine culture of Islamism.

Dozens of Iraqi teenagers stoned to death for ‘emo’ haircuts: activists
Activists told the Cairo-based al-Akhbar daily that at least 90 Iraqi teenagers with “emo” appearances have been stoned to death by the Moral Police in the country in the past month. The violent crackdown against “emo” Iraqi teenagers came after the Iraqi interior ministry declared them as “devil worshippers.”

“The ‘Emo phenomenon’ or devil worshiping is being probed by the Moral Police who have the approval to eliminate it as soon as possible since it’s detrimentally affecting the society and becoming a danger,” according to a statement by the interior ministry.
“First they throw concrete blocks at the boy’s arms, then at his legs, then the final blow is to his head, and if he is not dead by then, they start all over again,” one person who managed to escape told the daily.

devesh ji,

read the first post. The reason for this thread would be very clear!

Much of what we write here is all true, but everything has its proper place. I am angry that most BRFites do not demand a dedicated thread for discussing Islamic History, Islamic Theology, Islamic Aggression, etc. in the Indian Subcontinent, so everybody just dumps everything on the topic here.

Those who wish to discuss these topics they should ask the moderators permission to create some suitable thread for it.

I wish to isolate this thread from all drone attacks!

Christian Group Prompts Cancellations at Islam School in the US
Ghazala Hayat with the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis tells Patch that the group Reclaiming Missouri for Christ contacted St. Louis County Police to inform them the group planned to distribute literature during the Dar-Ul-Salam Mosque's prayer services Friday between noon and 2 p.m. The Islamic Foundation offices, mosque and school are all located on the same property off Weidman Road.

Christianity to Islam, and back: 60-year-old woman disgraced for reconversion
LAHORE: Sixty-year-old Seema Bibi went from being a Christian to a Muslim, and back, in six months – but fellow villagers did not take kindly to this change of heart, and religion.

Seema was tortured – her head shaved – and paraded through the streets of village Kot Marth, garlanded with shoes, police officials and residents said.

After receiving threats of ‘dire consequences’ from village clerics, Seema and her family have migrated from Kot Marth, sources added.

Seema, wife of Yousaf Masih, had converted to Islam six months ago, but went back to her original faith a few days ago, inviting the locals’ ire, officials said.

Egypt's Al-Azhar mosque takes Wahhabi turn
Egypt's ancient al-Azhar mosque has been an unrivaled touchstone of Islamic thinking, guiding the devout and educating millions through its distinguished university and education system. Now there is evidence that a more rigid school of Islam is taking hold there, to match the increasingly doctrinaire mood of the Egyptian people.

The following 40 minute video of a Malaysian Navy Sccorpene submarine was posted in the mil forum.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl0YgN1MkjU

It is one of the best Submarine videos I have seen, but there is a curious thing that is relevant here. About 25 minutes into the video they make it a point to show how Allah's work must be done and that prayers conducted five times a day. An officer finds a GPS unit to get a fix on the Black Stone idol of Islam and then the commentator goes on to say how everyone cannot pray at the same time but a man on duty can wake up a sleeping colleague to take over temporarily while he prays.

Excuse me? On a submarine? I mean do any of you know how difficult it is to get back to sleep after a phone call or a noise that wakes you up when you are asleep? If you have an 8 or 6 hour break and your pal wakes you up so he can call out to Allah for 5 minutes twice during that break wtf - you will lose at half you sleep. And if you are tired and need the rest, you are not going to be the most alert person on earth. Esp if a real emergency comes.

That brings me to the point that i seriously doubt if these guys are all that sincere about prayers. They are pretenders. Even under normal circumstances it is usual to see people miss prayers, but they are never suppose to say it. And on TV, in Malaysia, saying that submariners miss prayers 5 times a day is bad news for the submariners. Wajib ul cuttlefish!

I am certain all this rhetoric about "Duty to Allah must be done" is bullshitting for the TV audience because Mullahs will be up in arms. So a big show/pretence is done to reassure the bious that Alla is right there on the sub - he don't get no sleep neither. It is quite likely that most of the crew are "normal" people who will pray when they can and not wake up a friend just to bang his head on a mat. Oh yeah there will be the bious ones who do that - but I think there is much pretend piety going on among the Ummah. they are too scared to admit it. That's all. They just like to make everyone Mullas and non Muslims think they are damn pious. natuirally. It's not the non Muslims who will do zabiha to the pretenders. It's the fanatics.

It means they have to align the sub five times a day , in north south direction , so that pious abduls can pray towards west . I hope our western neighbours are doing that already . Perhaps it can help IN to locate and spring surprise ( As Muhammad Ghori was done with) while their maulana..oops...mariner doing their duty to Allah.

No, not the sub..only themselves towards Mecca. The Sub can be moving right away from Mecca, so they'd have to align themselves to the Subs musharaff to be correctly aligned in prayers.
That brings me to the point that i seriously doubt if these guys are all that sincere about prayers.

Shiv Ji that is common knowledge. No revelation there. 'Safety' somehow translates into proving one's higher piety by a public show. But internalize this fact that you have come to and see what Mullahs are afraid of. It's a vicious cycle of public piety display. The fear originates in and from the Doctrine itself. Even the Mullah is helpless in this ordeal of fear. A public display of piety over the next guy only buys reprieve from a possible Bull cattle case.

Check the Kamran Shahid, Zaid Hamid, Ali video that was posted in the BENIS thread...sometime i started feeling that Hussain was on the verge of saying Paki problems are a resultant of the doctrine itself..and ZH was like waiting smug these guys might just blaspheme on TV itself..when the realization struck and towards the end of the show all started saying that ZH and the rest don't represent the HK correctly etc..thats an important Pisko part relevant to what you posted.

Rising popularity for Norwegian anti-Islam group
A Norwegian group called “Stop Islamisation of Norway” (SIAN) has doubled membership levels in the last two years, its representatives claim.

“A major burden”

The group, who’s most active membership is located in Rogaland, has also been awarded a government concession to transmit on Radio Kos in Sandnes, western Norway. It alleges Internet radio capacity had to be increased from 25,000 to 200,000 listeners recently because of popularity.

Merete Hodne and Kjersti Margrethe Addehaid Gilje told NRK from Bryne, a small town in Rogaland County, “We have a duty to our country to preserve our Christian values, and not least to protect our children against the terrible, evil forces of Islam.”

According to SIAN’s leader, Arne Tumyr, membership has increased because of the 22nd July attacks. He would not reveal numbers, however, because of Extreme Left press exploitation fears, and being branded as racist by certain groups.

“Unfortunately, coming forward as a member of SIAN is a major burden. You can get problems at work, and it could affect your customer-base if you run your own business. You can end up in conflicts with your family and be harassed in different ways,” he said to Stavanger Aftenblad.
Disgust

Last year, SIAN arranged a demonstration “Never Forget 9/11” in front of the US embassy in Oslo ten years to the day. There were reports of several clashes between its members and others from anti-racist organisations prior to the event.

Arne Tumyr told NTB, “We are here to remember and honor those who lost their lives on 11th September ten years ago. We will commemorate the day from SIAN’s point of view, which is that we fear the growing influence of Islam and believe there is a direct connection between the religion of Islam and extremist actions.”

He and six others also participated at another anti-Islam protest in December in the centre Stavanger.

Approximately 10 times as many counter-demonstrators from SOS Racism and extreme Left Party Rødt (the Red Party) shouted him down during his speech, however, declaring, “no racists in our streets.”

“We are here to show our disgust by turning our backs to them,” said Party member Truls Drageset Dydland.
Surveillance

Journalist, writer, and Right-Extremist environment researcher Øyvind Strømmen, often quoted in connection with articles about Breivik, is sceptical about SIAN claims regarding increased membership.

“They like to brag that they have an growing number of members, but there are not many people who stand and listen to them when hold appeals,” he told NRK, “I think recruitment to this type of extremism has declined.”

Mr Strømmen, together with other prominent figures in Norway, is on a list of people who owner of the site korsfarer.no Oddbjørn Jonstad believes are “pro immigration and Islamisation”. His other list contains those against it.

The site states its goal is “to stop immigration to Norway, as well as stop the Islamification of Norwegian society by peaceful political and religious means.”

Mr Jonstad was a former local Progress (FrP) politician until he was thrown out by the Party for his Right-Extremist views in 1999, Stavanger Aftenblad reports. Today, he edits several sites hostile to immigrants, and is leader of Norsk Folkeparti (the Norwegian People’s Party/NFP).

Other people on Mr Jonstad’s list include Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette Marit, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Bishop of Stavanger Erling Pettersen, and several local Rogaland County politicians.

According to Øyvind Strømmen, “it seems as though scanning the integration debate and updating the Islamisation list has been his [Mr Jonstad’s] main project in the period following 22nd July.”

USA/Islam: Nationwide Sharia Education Campaign Set to Launch
WASHINGTON DC, 17 Rabi al-Thani/10 March (IINA)-While the Catholic Church may be dominating U.S. religious headlines as of right now, six of the top ten religious stories of 2011 were about Islam. With national focus on religious freedom this election cycle centered on the hot-button issue of contraception and the right of conscience, a leading American Muslim organization is gearing up to promote their own religious rights through a nationwide outreach campaign to combat Islamophobia.

The initiative, headed by the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), also aims to educate the broader American public on the Islamic faith and address questions about Sharia.

[...]

A recently released study by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research shows the number of Islamic places of worship have increased 74% in the past decade. States with the most mosques are New York, California and Texas. Despite a decline in negative perception compared to last year, 14% of Americans agree that Muslims want to establish Sharia, or Islamic law, as the law of the land. For ICNA, this number is still clearly too high.

[...]

Events will be held in Miami on March 10th, Washington D.C. on March 27th and Los Angeles on April 17th. Additional dates are yet to be announced, but are planned in New York City, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Houston, Dallas, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Kansas City and Detroit.

In addition to town hall meetings, the organization is airing public service announcements and radio ads in 20 cities, as well as hosting seminars on college campuses. Billboards will go up in high traffic areas, including one near the Lincoln Tunnel, seen by over 120,000 people a day. There is also a national hotline dedicated to answering questions about Sharia and the Islamic faith. The toll-free number is 1-855-SHARIAH.

Islam's Tradition of Breaking the Cross

by Mark Durie

Be the first of your friends to like this.

In the recent destruction of Commonwealth war graves in Benghazi, Libya (YouTube Video), you can see not just the desecration of graves, but attacks on crosses.

The radical Muslims who are kicking over and smashing headstones marked with crosses (and one with a Star of David), also took pains to demolish a tall "Cross of Sacrifice" standing at the edge of the cemetery.

This was no "furious mob" on a "rampage," as a Daily Mail report put it. Nor was there any evidence in what they were saying that they were angry or reacting to Koran burning by the US military.

The men are methodically, deliberately, and in an organized fashion, going about destroying crosses and objects marked with crosses. Their mood seems happy. Every now and again the cry Allahu Akbar rings out, or a chuckle of joy. They pass comments on the graves as they kick them over: "Break the cross that belongs to those," "This is the grave of a Christian," and, "This tomb has a cross on it: a kaffir [disbeliever]."

An Australian government minister, Craig Emerson, whose father served in Libya in World War II, commented, "There is nothing in Islam that would warrant this sort of behavior."

But is this true? Or just wishful thinking? Certainly many Libyans and Muslims of other nationalities have expressed their abhorrence of these acts. It would be completely wrong to attribute sympathy for such an attack to Muslims as whole. But all the same, was this attack on war graves truly senseless and without foundation or precedent in Islam? Regrettably, the answer is "No."

The phenomenon of cross-destruction goes back to the life and example of Muhammad. A tradition reported by al-Waqidi said that if ever Muhammad found an object in his house with the mark of a cross on it, he would destroy it. (W. Muir, The life of Muhammad. Volume 3, p.61, note 47.)

In the YouTube video, when one of the men says, "Break the cross that belongs to those dogs," he uses the same classical Arabic phrase – "break the cross' (the Arabic root is k.s.r 'break') -- which is found in a famous hadith (tradition) about Jesus — understood in Islam to be a Muslim prophet — who will return to the earth as a cross-destroying enforcer of Islamic Sharia law:

Narrated Abu Huraira: "Allah's Apostle said, 'By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely [Jesus,] the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly [as a Just Ruler]; he will break the cross and kill the pigs and there will be no jizya [i.e. no taxation taken from non Muslims: because they will all be forced to convert to Islam]. …'"

(Sahih al-Bukhari: The Book of the Stories of the Prophets. 4:60:3448.)

This phrase 'break the cross' is religious and ritualistic in its overtones, invoking the canon of Islam. It is like a Christian saying 'forgive us our trespasses' in reference to the Lord's Prayer. This is a clear reference to the words of Muhammad, and invokes his authority for the deed being performed.

To pious Muslims, Muhammad is regarded as the "best example" for Muslims to follow, so it is hardly surprising if his enmity to the cross is shared by at least some Muslims today. The following are just some of many examples of cross destruction which can be culled from media reports of recent years:

* Two days before Christmas in 1998, a Catholic church in Faisalabad, Pakistan had its crucifix pulled down by a Muslim leader.
* On March 18, 2004, an Albanian mob attacked and desecrated the church of St Andrew in Podujevo, Kosovo. Photographs distributed to the international media show Muslims, who had climbed up onto the roof, breaking off the prominent metal crosses attached there. There have also been many instances of Muslim mobs smashing crosses in Christian graveyards across Kosovo.
* In April 2007, in the Al-Doura Christian area of Baghdad, Muslim militants instructed Christians to remove visible crosses from atop their churches, and issued a fatwa forbidding Christians from wearing crosses.
* When Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007, some of its militias went on a cross-destroying rampage. The Rosary Sisters convent and school in Gaza was ransacked and looted by masked men and crosses were specifically targeted for destruction. A Christian resident of Gaza also reported having a crucifix ripped from his neck by someone from the Hamas Executive Force, who said, "That is forbidden."
* On Monday 29 October 2007, in the Malaysian Parliament, a parliamentarian, Tuan Syed Hood bin Syed Edros complained about the "display of religious symbols' in front of church schools: 'I, as a responsible person to my religion, race, and country, I state my views that … these crosses need to be destroyed …'"
* Michael Yon has reported on a poster found in Afghanistan ("Destroying the cross is an Islamic obligation") which instructs Muslims to destroy objects with crosses on them.

Antipathy to the cross among Muslims is not limited to Islamic societies: In November 2004, Belmarsh Prison in England was reported to have plans to spend £1.6 million on a mosque. The facility already maintains a multi-denominational chapel, but this has been rejected for use by the Muslim inmates, some of whom had been convicted on terrorism charges, because the chapel contains crosses which have to be covered up when the Muslims say their prayers.

No less a figure than the former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, was compelled to remove his pectoral cross when he had to make a forced stop in Saudi Arabia in 1995. The incident is described by David Skidmore in the Episcopal News Service:

Carey's flight out of Cairo for Sudan was forced to make an intermediary stop in Saudi Arabia. On the approach to the Red Sea coastal city of Jidda, Saudi Arabia, Carey was told to remove all religious insignia, including his clerical collar and pectoral cross.

There is another pattern at work here, which is the destruction of non-Muslim (infidel) graves and religious heritage. The Taliban's destruction of Buddhist sites in Afghanistan is a well-known example, as was the deliberate destruction of around 38,000 Jewish graves on the Mount of Olives, some of which were over 1,000 years old, during Jordan's occupation of Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967.

It must also be acknowledged that radical Sunni Muslims have a long history of destroying Muslim graves as well, if they have become sites of pilgrimage or veneration. The Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia have been known for more than one hundred years for destroying venerated gravesites, including those of some of Muhammad's own relatives (see a Shi'ite lament here). In Libya, Salafists have also been busy destroying graves of Sufi saints. Likewise, in Somalia the al-Shabab movement has been destroying Sufi graves (as well as war graves of Christians: see here). In the light of other parallels, the destruction of this cemetery cannot be regarded as simply a senseless act done by a "rampaging mob." It was a thoughtful, deliberate act, which conforms to a widely attested pattern, namely the destruction of crosses, support for which can be found in canonical Islamic sources and the teaching of Muhammad. It also conforms to a pattern of destruction of gravesites, of both non-Muslims and Muslims, by radical Muslims -- not with Koran-burning by the US military.

Rinkal and her family are constantly being tortured and threatened. Law and Order in the area are polluted and influenced by politicians and there is no other option Rinkal is left with besides killing herself..

So sad to see these things happening at this time. We hindus cannot do anything. This is a continuation of a 1300 year tradition starting from the day first arab muslim set foot in greater India. The only way these things will stop is when arab society reforms like europe did few centuries back and arabs become more open minded. Only then non arab muslims will follow their masters in arabia. I guess this will never happen.

No this can happen only if both purists and non-purists face total and absolute physical destruction and military defeat. Because nothing in their world view happens without their supremes wish - only that would convince them that they are doomed. Additionally they need to be told that their supreme was poor protector and a weak one who could not protect them. Only after that it will die off.

Follow-up:

Girl tells media she embraced Islam of her own free will
KARACHI: “My name is Syeda Faryal Bibi, I have embraced Islam without any force and have married Syed Naveed Shah of my own free will,” said a visibly shaken teenage girl during a hurriedly called press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Sunday. “Earlier my name was Rinkle Kumari,” she added.

A couple of bearded people, who said they were from Dargah Bharchundi Sharif, kept on giving notes to the girl during the press conference. A woman, who said she was a police constable from Sukkur, was also present at the press conference, which was abruptly cut short. A police mobile which had come with them, remained parked at the press club and left with them. The girl could not respond to questions asked by journalists and kept on saying that she had embraced Islam without any force and married of her own free will.

Her parents are claiming that she had been kidnapped, converted and married off. They have launched a protest movement.

The court taking taken notice of the matter and has directed the authorities to produce her Monday.

Addressing the press conference, she said she had not been forced by anyone to change her religion. She liked the teachings of Islam and, therefore, she converted and married Mr Shah.

She said she was 18 years old and an adult and free to decide what she wanted to do. She said she did not want to go to Darul Amaan and wanted to live with her husband. “That is what I am going to say in the court tomorrow,” she added.

When asked how did she leave her home, she said she left the home at around 4am and went to Bharchundi Sharif. Responding to another question, she said she had telephoned the Dargah people and they had come to take her there.

She said she used to watch Islamic television channels, read a lot of religious books and other material and discussed with her friends and then decided to convert.

When asked if she could recite any surah and tell its meaning, she said she would recite surah Ikhlas but could not recite. She looked at her husband sitting next to her but even he could not help her.

When asked for how long she had known Mr Shah, she said she did not know him or had never met him earlier. After embracing Islam she married him.

At this point one of the two men came forward and said that the press conference was over. They held her arm and took her away while Naveed Shah remained there.

Before the man and the girl could reach the door of the room, the mediapersons asked that why a person associated with a Dargah, a religious place, was holding the arm of a non-Mehram adult girl and dragging her, he only said that “she is my sister” and when confronted how could she be his sister as she had embraced Islam only a few days ago, he said: “she is my Islami sister.”

They boarded a waiting car and left along with a police mobile which was parked outside the press club.

I came across this video which I think is a fitting reply for these mad Ghazis and Mullahs that go ballistic at idols, cartoons, burning of HoKo etc. It will be nice to use this logic to point out to these guys that they too are idolaters.

Wishful thinking. This will never happen in our life times. May be sometime in distant future a major natural calamity will do this.

This kind of video will never convince mad ghazis and Mullahs and not even ordinary muslims. These people are brain washed and do not know how to use their brains.

Carl ji,
what have the current Sufi spiritual masters have to say on Rinkle? Was the act anti-Islamic or simply un-Islamic or no comments?

By the way, do you see hopes of any moderation in the police escorts, the judges, the state, the journalists, the madrassah which has custody of the girl over and above the state ? Do you think we can turn these potential moderates against the USA?

Such determination might come in very handy in a determined resistance against the USA perhaps?

Or is it possible for India to make friends with them? Since none of the populations seem to have come forward to resist or protest this peaceful conversion - we can assume that the height of moderation was being shown by these custodians of the girl and they have the support of every other moderate in Pakistan. Since we desperately need to create a class of moderates in Pakistan who will see eye to eye with Indians on common issues like the need to bash up USA for example, should we start seeing eye to eye with these moderates on such conversions for example as a first gesture?

The questions are simply placed to you and not aimed at you. You are more knowledgable about Islam in general and those streams which claim moderation and spirituality within Islam - and hence a general query.

From the first post of this thread

This thread is NOT for
  1. Discussing Indian Muslims
  2. Discussing any Islamism on the Indian Subcontinent
  3. Discussing any Islamophobia from an Indic Experience.
  4. Discussing Islamic Theology
  5. Discussing Islamic Terrorism in India
  6. Talking disparagingly about personalities and symbols of Islam and about Muslims, from poster's PoV
Furthermore there are issues that would be more appropriate for other threads and forums, and these ought to discussed there. Please use your judgment.

----------

So discussing cross breaking and Murti puja do not belong in this thread! Please create suitable threads for such issues.

Looking for spiritual sufi masters in islamic world is like a mirage. The mullahs use sufi spiritual carrots to fool masses into submission. The most quoted sufi of all time Rumi the persian poet was denounced as apostate by people of that time.

Carl ji,

The post is indeed off-topic here. "Managing Pakistan's failure" would be the right thread for the above post. I am not a moderator and I cannot move posts!

Too late sir. According to Chidanand Rajghatta (TOI), this issue was pursued with the Congressman by Paki Sindhi Association and not by any Hindu Organization(if there is one). Guess, the Hindus are busy minting money.
The Rinkel Kumari case was brought to the attention of US lawmakers not by Hindu activists but by the Sindhi American Political Action Committee (SAPAC ), a lobby group that , like the Baloch groups , is increasingly asserting the secular and syncretic identity of Pakistan's Sindhi community in the face of growing Islamization in the country .

Sapac activists are telling US lawmakers that state sponsored discrimination against minority groups in Pakistan is rampant and is causing Hindus to migrate out of Pakistan in droves.
