Strategic Nuclear Warfare

Post by kedar_s »

Hello All,

I have three articles on my blog on strategic nuclear warfare.

http://kedarsoman.wordpress.com/2010/03 ... are-i-mad/
This article talks about general strategy. A strategic objective equation is created at very simple level. And the development are explained using this equation.

http://kedarsoman.wordpress.com/2010/03 ... elopments/
This deals with the next phase in nuclear warfare. Technological developments that can be traced back to fear of nuclear destruction.

http://kedarsoman.wordpress.com/2010/03 ... d-defense/
How the strategy leads to nuclear proliferation and why missile defense is the natural next step.

I think this subject is an extremely important one. I appreciate any and all comments.

Three comments

1) A thread already exists to discuss this andat least some of what you have written has already been discussed or mentiones in that thread. There thread is here
http://forums.bharat-rakshak.com/viewto ... f=1&t=5219

2) I find your use of game theory to be interesting and appropriate, but I cannot understand the math in your third link above

3) Your posts are too US centric and have nothing to do with India - so why should it be discussed here at all? Your conclusions do not explain why the US has not attacked China, why China has not attacked India and why Pakistan has not attacked India.

Some views on those and other topics are there in the deterrence thread.
