The M47 Dragon is a man portable anti-tank system that saw service with the US military from 1975 to 2001, when it was replaced with the Javelin missile system.
Here's how it works:
Using an optical sight, the operator would find his target, line up his sights, and pull the trigger. When the trigger was pulled a chemical reaction was initiated inside the missile, charging it's battery (the sound is said to be similar to the whine of an old camera's flash capacitor). After a brief delay the missile's launch motor ignites. This launch motor burns quickly, expending itself before the missile has even left the tube, but still providing enough force to push the missile free of the tube and 30 to 50 meters away from the operator. Once a safe distance away the missile's propulsion section (what's shown in this picture) would engage. Each one of those diagonal spheres is a rocket motor. 30 of these motors lined the rear half of the missile. They were fired in pairs to propel the missile forward and steer it (since they're mounted at 45 degrees, the provide a force to the rear but also side to side). Individually, each motor is so small that their burn time is only an instant, meaning the missile is essentially guided by small explosions that occur every .5 to 1 seconds. This resulted in a "popping" sound that was unique to this missile system. While the guidance system was effective, the signature popping sound gave ample warning to anyone in the area (including the target) that a missile was on the way. Furthermore, the missile is wire guided, meaning that the operator must remain stationary and keep his cross hairs on the target until the missile impacts. This meant that the Dragon system not only telegraphed it's presence and location, but left it's operator immobile and vulnerable for a significant amount of time. Needless to say, Dragon operators weren't expected to have a high survival rate. However, it is a testament to the effectiveness of the system that it remained it service for over 25 years and was only succeeded by a missile system that's far more complex and many orders of magnitude more expensive.
Here is an album of more pictures of the missile and guidance system: here
And a video of it being used (it's hard to find a good one without a 70's era narrator): here
And here's a video of the Dragon being used in the Advanced Combat Environment mod for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. Believe it or not, you can get a pretty good feel for how this missile performs from the game

I still don't get the role it plays and how it executes it. Sounds like a recon platform to me.

Looking at those vehical they are Recon , Jamming/Comint , NBC Detection Systems , Light Strike , Likely would be a carrier platform for GRU SF that are deployed by SRF for counter-sabotage ops

Probably the best shot Mig 21 action. Worth watching on HD. Good steady camera handling.

F-15 ASM-135 ASAT tests
On 13 September 1985, Maj. Wilbert D. "Doug" Pearson, flying the "Celestial Eagle" F-15A 76-0084 launched an ASM-135 ASAT about 200 miles (322 km) west of Vandenberg Air Force Base and destroyed the Solwind P78-1 satellite flying at an altitude of 345 miles (555 km). Prior to the launch the F-15 flying at Mach 1.22 executed a 3.8g zoom climb at an angle of 65 degrees. The ASM-135 ASAT was automatically launched at 38,100 ft while the F-15 was flying at Mach .934.[7] The 30 lb (13.6 kg) MHV collided with the 2,000 lb (907 kg) Solwind P78-1 satellite at closing velocity of 15,000 mph (24,140 km/h)

CISF in red zone. The effectiveness of parkour in military training can be questioned but it looks pretty good.
Also, Kudos to RSTV for National Security series. It's doing good.
