What is one of the most impressive part of the day is also to watch the PM motorcade and his entire fleet of cars , jammers and most certainly the SPG , the SPG certainly is very impressive and has the WoW effect , they look the most smart and lethal of all VIP security personal of PM and President that i have seen in the world.
One would be mistaken that SPG motorcade is for a German PM going by the BMW and Merc domination ( with a lone jammer mounted safari) in the convoy!!

Agree though that they do really give out the TFTA effect, esp with their PS-90 guns bared to the aam junta( seem to keep it on open display to all these days unlike earlier)

Loved the clip of the AFA Jodhpur - of the 53 Pilots Course. at 1m04s is Kapil Bhargava - a great friend and contributor to our site. I have passed on the link to him!
Thank you, Saar. All Sarkaari videos. Criminal waste how no effort is made to make them widely & easily accessible. Great to hear a Rakshak was featured in the clip :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank You @Nelson for x-posting the two videos to the Republic Day thread

Dear Rakshaks,

I'm sure all of you have seen the "Army Strong" videos.

But have you seen this???

Now... Now.... if you had the impulse to point out, request you to kindly ignore the slight humbleness (for want of a better word) of the equipment.

Bhavnao ko samjho... hain??

Without in any way trivializing the value of equipment and materiel, it has been an Indian and BR belief that a military is only as good as its personnel, leadership, and its absolute respect for the people it serves. The BD military quite clearly hews to this principle. Would appreciate BR Bengali/Asomiya knowing bondhus if you could read off those name badges. The BD Military Academy draws inspiration from its motto in the words of the great poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Chiro Unnata Momo Shir

the name tag on the lady reads 'jennifer'.

ad is decent but a bit too long for my taste. I must add that I find most IA ads absolutely insipid and even annoying. completely devoid of any imagination.

Short documentary on the life of injured soldiers at Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center Kirkee. People might remember the teabox donation that Jagan posted about 3 years back.

Good quality footage of an F16 and a tanker crew having some light hearted fun after a refuel. The solah is a beautiful bird.

Another Solah video. How gorgeous is the view through that bubble canopy 8)

The American "flying boom" refuelling system shown offers much higher fuel flow rates than the probe and drogue used by India and other nations.
If I am right even the USN uses Probe and Drogue and US airforce is kinda unique is using the flying boom.

Amazing!
This video needs to be solidified in gold and shown to every self respecting Indian. It probably should be a 'must watch' in all schools or converted into a text book history lesson for Students of class V ~ Viii.

The last line is very telling "yeh fauj kabhi haar nahin sakthi"

IAF Promo on Republic Day

Its pretty evident from the video that IAF is concentrating on rapid troop deployment due to the asymmetric threats posed by militants.

That Bharat Defence Kavach Video Links are awesome. Especially liked AM Dewan and B K Bishnois interviews.

Loved the fact that someone reached out to all those senior planners of the war way back in 1997.. that time BR was still in its (internet) Chaddis...

These two I understand:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXG0_KDE ... re=related

This I dont:

Even this one has the same thing towards the end:

Dont know if these have been posted earlier. But some things are quite innovative. Seem like a mix of Judo & Aikido and some common sense.

C-130J is as manouverable as a WW2 era fighter , quite impressive. Probably its risky to pull that bird that far.

Actually that one guy was both nimble and lucky. I don't think human reactions are fast enough to avoid injury except by luck. 7 injured - 3 seriously. Poor guys.

M2K Crash Video (not IAF).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ea16pO- ... AAAAAAAAAQ

The IAF lost an M2K in the 80s in a similar situation. The pilot did an extra 360 while heading down and hit the ground. The plane did not bounce off the ground like this one did.
