I am a fan of IAF and currently working in Bangalore. I wanted to know where I can spot our IAF fighters. Either static or during operations. Please forgive me if this is the wrong place for posting.

Request such questions are not asked, and nor replied.

Answers might give ideas to our friendly neighbourhood ISI/SIMI/Naxal fundoo to pull off some stunt and make his day.

Instead of "close range", try spotting at extended ranges at Aero India or Republic Day or Fire Power Demo and similar shows specifically held for common citizen's viewing pleasure. In addition, Suryakirans, Sagar Pawans and Sarangs give shows in various Indian cities.

You can also see at your local AF stations, but do so at extended ranges without infringing base security. Close range is best avoided.

Anyone loitering in open areas in vicinity of air bases is liable to be detained for questioning with camera/film confiscated.

There was this recent case of British chaps given a hard time by Delhi cops because of similar reasons.

Well i dont know what should i call you guys. I thought that this forum to discuss things about our military. But now i dont think that is the case. Shame on you IB4TL guys .

Don't take this in a bad way but, when ever we get such threads open it gives us an oppurtunity to increase our post counts without actually posting something usefull...

This is still a discussion forum, but only for open source data.. not stuff like these...

BTW where are you put up in bangalore.. If you want to view the aircrafts up closer i recommend you shift somewhere near kormangla or indranagar...

IB4TL is just for fun nothing personal on u. BRF is very tough place just take it as learning curve it will improve postings not just on BRF any other form also

Thanks mate. I am stayin near Kundanhalli gate. From there I am able to c quite a few planes passing overhead. Anyways ill try to go to marthahalli and hav a look there. thanks a lot

Totally Agree with sathyaC... i am here from almost 4+ years and still there is so much to learn and know about... the kind of knowledge and guidance we get in this forum is really nice...

Abt your question... try airport from safe distance... on lighter note surf You Tube and you can watch a F-22 sitting in banglore... :)
