India is standing at cusp of another major space milestone. IRNSS or Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System will provide ground changing GPS service to India and has the potential to change the landscape of GPS applications in India.

IRNSS-1 launch today kicks it off. This topic is to specifically track IRNSS launch, questions, applications of IRNSS etc. Separate from the general Indian Space News and Discussions. Please *NO* comparisons with other GPS systems., this is not a mine is better than your topic., however relevant discussions on technologies behind GPS should be discussed.
