Actually, no. But the bus went by (not exactly by) almost all the gates and some people got down where their entry was. The last stop was gate 3.

well it was just fate that we got a completely full suvarna first up, not knowing the freq of the pick up buses, we took the first one we got. if it had been a volvo, things would have been different. well what happened, happened.
Just hope such things dont happen again to others.

Same here...
I think the volvos went to business gates(and the non-business guys would have to to trek 4 km downstream) while the suvarna went to the public area( which meant that the business guys in those buses would have to do the 4 km upstream trek)...

This was the only major problem i saw in the otherwise excellent BMTC service..

Thanks much folks - glad I could make the day for some of you folks.

SB112 - was the standby bird, but did not fly. SB050 flew all the days. SB114 was static.

I know its way too late....

Made my first visit to AI, must say a wonderful experience to see all these beautiful aircrafts in person after having read so much about them.

One lesson learnt is to avoid visiting the show on a weekend.

Posting some images:

My brother Suresh Basavaraju has taken all the photos. He more than made up for my lack skills & equipment with photography. Thanks to him this long over due trip was made possible.

Suresh Basavaraju - the name rings a bell! Ask him if he recently photographed a Tawny Eagle with his 600 mm. If he did - small world :)

Then we proceeded towards the BR stall, where I met Kapil standing at the stall. Kaps didn’t seem to be in a particularly good mood, maybe he had got one of those book stealing PSU folks a few minutes back. He asked about my BR handle which I told him, I asked about shiv, he said wasn’t going to come, but told me rakall was here, and that shiv and k prasad were there yesterday. Kapchan I hope we meet in better times :D . We strolled about a bit in the hall, with SHQ getting impressed with phoren maal on display there.

Hi K Mehta,

Wow-that's a big one. Don't worry-Nobody actually had a clue about what was going on.

Sorry for being impolite,I think I was feeling what a CO does when he hands over the duties of a platoon leader/GO/ etc and actually sits in a cabin and watches other people do things :-)

And,do drop me a line sometime.

Cheers

Hey... I just realized that rakall has a lot more AI brochures to put up... so perhaps, it may be a good idea to not archive this thread for a bit, if he is still uplaoding them.... what say???

Thank You Rahul, Its a little too superb for the more famous/popular aviation image databases hence uploaded it to Aero on a friends reccomendation, the frame shot before this is equally fantastic, its a shame my lens was broken (hence the earlier frame turned out a tad soft) & i dont have time to edit, anyways i'll try finding the time to edit & upload a shot or two every few days.

Cheers - VJ
