Maybe I am the wrong person to start the threa dbut IMO one is needed.

First:

Video cameras strictly not allowed, except for media/exhibitors. Still cameras OK

Great static display - MKI (Rambha)carrying RVV-AE (R-77), MiG 29, MiG 21 upg, Jag, Mi 35, LCA TD 1 - many new munitions, Bramhos, Prithvi, WLR radar, battlefield surveillance radar.

And I haven't yet been inside any stalls. (I wasn't supposed to go today - copuldn't resist) - will post more in due course.

Indian airshow dogged by dithering on military trainer jet deal

Lockheed Martin was pitching its T-50 trainer jets and also invited India to participate in a Lockheed-led Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) global project, launched last October.

Guys Last night I heard it on DD1 that LCA flew during the air show along with other aircrafts although not in formation but it did displayed some aerobatics. The flight of LCA is confirmed by the news in outlook which is also posted here can anyone tell me whether this was LCA TD1 OR LCA TD2? Wasn't both were set to fly during the air show? as far as I can recall PV1 is supposed to take to skies by june. Looking for confirmations.

Look at this report...

It was TD-2 that was flown over...
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/cms.dll/html/uncomp/articleshow?artid=36603203

Quote:

IAF’s workhorses, the Mi-8 helicopters, opened the flypast followed by three ALH, and a composite formation of three generations of IAF aircraft — an ALH, two Kiran Mk-IIs, Mirages and Sukhois. Eyes were glued to the sky as the LCA TD-2 flew.

Please try not to post pix here. The people with slower dial ups have problems. Just post the links

Shiv - Great pictures! Can't wait to see more.

You need to adjust the image quality setting on your digital camera. Set it to "fine" or the highest setting.
