Our very own Jagan has been honored by a commendation from the Chief of Air Staff.

I will leave it to him to decide whether to make the actual document visible, but let me be the first to congratulate him in public and say that I am honored to know him and be associated with him.

Well done JagMan keep up the great work.

Hi Jagan,
Many, many congratulations. With your meticulous attention to detail, your tenacity in chasing a story down(like in the Thiagarjan story) and your dedication to the various projects connected with IAF veterans and/or IAF related material your recognition is long overdue. Now may we all get to read the citation?

Hi all,

Thanks. This happened just before aero india. The honor is basically a "CAS Commendation Card", that arrived by mail sometime in early Jan. I was not in the country and had no idea about it till end of that month.

The Commendation is ofcourse for the work on the Bharat Rakshak Site and the efforts we have done for the History of the IAF and ofcourse the 1965 Book as well.

Here is a scan of the certificate

and the Commendation Badge

Needless to say, I am indeed honored to get this as a civilian - and would cherish it forever!

Here's a rough translation
Quote:
Commendation
from
Chief of Air Staff

Mr PVS Jagan Mohan, as an author in 2006, has very capably, dutifully achieved a praiseworthy contribution, of which the entire airforce and myself are proud of.

I've ordered that this commendation be mentioned in your service record.

New Delhi

S P Tyagi

Congratulations Sir! (salute)!

Now if the Chief of the Air Staff knows Jagan sir, then of course he knows of BR... and that means he knows what Jingos want from the MRCA.

So dont worry... have curry and keep on postin'

Wow!

Well-deserved honor. I am delighted to see that the terrific work being done here is recognized in official quarters.

Of course we have always known that General Musharraf decides his policies by reading BRF, but that is only "official hind-quarters".

This is real. Congratulations!
