no, a permanent ban is just what it means. clocking 5 warnings in a span of 6 months is quite an achievement, it is rewarded accordingly.

well this is tough adn unfair to be chucked out if you do not post!
i have been going through this site for quite some time now. I have gained considerable insight into a great many facets of knowledge related to war craft that were alien to me - and i dare say that it has been an enjoyablejourney so far.
i hope this will prevent me from being well cooked out of the forum which i enjoy so much.
i am sure that some day/ night i will be able to contribut something meaningful to your discussions- the great majority of which - are extremely informative!
i imagine this makes me one of the persons who has made it to shore safe for the next 24 days!

username changed to Sindhbad.
please let us know if you are OK with it.
if not choose a human sounding one.
regards,
Rahul.

I assume that you meant, "Am I banned?". The answer is no, as you just posted your post.

PMs are not enabled for non-moderator members.

Note to admin: for General Elections 2009. Is it possible to have a separate thread for each State under Elections 2009, instead of a single Election 2009. It might be easier to track the politics of each State individually and collating opinions.

Manu,
Politics has traditionally been a no-no on BRF. However occasional threads such as the one in question and one on US elections were allowed due to their strategic importance. BRF is not about to discuss elections/politics as a separate issue. Imagine having a thread for each of the states! I would suggest finding a suitable political forum for that.
Thanks.

I guess you can make people like me your "friend". Perhaps it is an assurance against future hellfires!
You an also add enemies and you will not see their posts in the forum. So if there is someone who gets you so mad that you could be predator-ized due to it, you have this option to save yours.

Attention moderators:

I would like to make a DEAL with you.

I am giving a full page AD in Ahmedabad Mirror and quarter page AD in Indian Express.

I would like to post the URL to a thread in bharat rakshak, which is discussing Right to Recall Party. This will give immense publicity to Bharat-Rakshak.

In return, what I need is your permission :) to write that URL in the AD.

And I also need your permission to start a thread dedicated to "Right to Recall Party" .

This would give HUGE publicity to BR.com.

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for the generous offer, but being a politically unaffiliated website, it would not be appropriate for Bharat Rakshak to be part of this initiative.

Re: a thread on "Right to Recall Party", can you please tell more about the thread or what you wish to discuss in it? You may reach the admins at gentleman.cadet @ gmail.com if need be.

We wish you all the best with your initiative.

hi Friends

I am new around here as a member. Since I am using my office e mail ID, I wouldn't want that to be visible though I am ok with getting mails on it.
I am unable to understand if my email ID is visible to users. If yes then how to turn it off. I tried the control panel but failed to see the appropriate option.

Kindly guide.

Also, the moderators would know the company that I am working for. If there are any particular queries to our common interest, please do tell if I can be of help.

best regards
VB

Mods, I would like to suggest that we start a new thread focusing on Indian Soft Power abroad. Since this is a key source of Indian power, I think it deserves its own thread, & potentially give India an edge in the long run. (I did search for soft power & didnt find anything)

I'm no expert so I would prefer someone else to take the lead. Some examples I noticed recently

Sunday Levity: Jimmy Jimmy in Kazakhstan
The Indian soap opera that's taken Brazil by storm
Waheeda seeking Rajnikanth desperately

One of my posts in TSP thread just got deleted. Should I take that as a warning. If not how are warnings given? How do I check if there are any warnings against me.

Also, can my user name be changed to sree or sreeji. My current user name is not my actual name thanks to bsnl which gives only one email id per internet connection.

sreeji, you should get an email at the address you used to register at BRF in case you get a warning. Having your post moved to another thread or deleted does not mean you have a warning. We usually try to state it in the thread itself when we warn someone so that everyone knows what is acceptable and what is not. Enjoy the forum.

Dmurphy, only admins can send PMs, as per the board setup as of now. No one is deliberately limiting features for you.... its the same for all other users.

 i recall seeing mere mortals like me referring to PMs as a mode of communication on BRF. Will bring it to your notice the next time i see something like that. I also recall a fellow bharat rakshak (who i know in person) had access to it. He also said, that it might have been disabled for me because i might have been caught distributing goats to fellow abduls
