Not a drone strike it looks like. A CIA ops team was involved.

I suspect this pound of flesh will involve at least a few more 26/11s on Yindia for which unkil will gladly extend political, moral, monetary and diplomatic support only.

What else is part of the deal, one can only guess at. More f-solahs and all were coming anyway after MMRCA, with or w/o this announcement.

Unless TSP is put on the dock for OBL living in Isloo, this news about OBL's death is a big yawn as far as I am concerned, and its of no strategic value to India. Matter of fact, Faux news "experts" are giving huge credit to TSP. If TSP ends up on US side on this, TSP will get to keep LET, you be rest assured. I will be relieved when Hafeez Seed meets his 72.

ok there are 2 line of Thought to this.

1. TSP-ISI clouded with AMERICA in knocking this off
2. TSP is in a bad shape if CIA acted on its own.

He living in Pakistan and (probalby in Pindi Army headquarters) is such a open secret for even BRF Trainees. US maintained AlQueda is something different from Pakis all the way. Even now they will do the same.

Again my dear BRF member jor se bolo - AlQueda == Pak Army == ISI== Terrorism. 911 done by who? Pakistan.

The outskirts of Islamabad is turning out to be more like Fatehjung / Wah / Kamra.

More like in between Isloo and Peshawar.

I don't know what ISI's role here was. For sure they knew where he was for a long time, but would have been keeping that info from the US. This one guy was a cash cow for Pakistan. He's gotten them ~ $18 billion.

The US finally located him, and more importantly possibly decided to take him out. There have been news in the past where CIA officers have relayed back to washington that they had him in their sights, but there was some kinda confusion if they wanted him dead or alive.

Obama is on air, and has confirmed that OBL is dead!

GOAT hunt does not end here.
OBL was hardly in direct command of Al Qaida these last few years.
There will be a severe backlash against the US, western nations, and Pakistan.

Possibly even an attempt at a major terror attack.

Abbotabad in Pakistan. The earlier helicopter crash was not a crash, it was a heliborne attack.

interesting comment about TSP. Obama thanks Zardari, and said US military officials spoke to their TSP counterparts. And he called on TSP to take on terrorists. R-man, can you parse this statement? Didn't sound like a ringing endorsement of TSP to me. Speech is still going on, so lets see what else he says about TSP.

Civilized people everywhere selectively should broadcast 'ISI/PA claiming credit in helping US in killing OBL' within TSP and 'solely US op' outside TSP for max impact, IMVHO.

Abbottabad is 45 Km due north of Islamabad.
It is 25 km from J&K border, and 60 Km from the LOC.

So the stories of OBL hiding out in POK might be true also.

If it comes out that Zardari knew about this, even if just a rumour, We MUST expect a coup within 48 hours.
I am sure Indian Army,Air force and Navy would be going into a heightened state of alert by now.

CNN asks the question:
Did OBL had help form the ISI?
Otherwise how could he hide out so deep inside Pakistan all these years?

Going by the trust Unkil places on the ISI, it is not possible that ISI was informed. There are only 2 possibilities

1. ISI informed Unkil, Unkil attacked
2. Unkil found out, didnt inform ISI and attacked.

Parsing ombaba's statement (As I said during the campaign, if I had information that OBL was in Pakistan, I will not hesitate to attack) (2) is the likely case.

Well Sheikh Osama was a muslim who took refuge in an Islamic republic. 10 percent took money and gave him up to a kafir government who killed him. That makes Zardari and all his government wajib ul kattle, and a target for a blood feud. Some blood letting will now take place.
