The two SPG guys look like twins :D . Did anyone get pictures of the woman SPG officer who was shadowing Gursharan Kaur? She looked mean and reminded me of Hillary Clinton's shadow.

In the NSG pic above, the commando is wearing an I card. I wonder if it is photo identity card and if it is then is the pic with with or without the face cover?

Most likely the ID card is used for initial identification for people who would need entry in some restricted areas and it might have some chip in there to track movements..... just a one time thing for R-Day.

Found a funny bit for SWAT Team, Delhi Police

"The force, comprising around 100 commandos, was formed during the Commonwealth Games in 2010 to shoot down suspicious 'flying objects'."

Distinct difference in the security detail of the VP and the PM...guess the VP protection is done by some local police unit?

The people in that specific part of the detail have to be of such shape and size since they are responsible for bodily shielding the VIP.

at 17:48 she can be seen approaching the PM's car from the left-hand side of the screen, as the car comes to a halt. She walks up to the far side, on the side the PM's wife emerges. Lady not hard to track; without a tie

was wondering why do they allow armed men near VVIPs.. i thought they stopped that after the assassination of IG. a highly trained person with an automatic weapon and the entire leadership of nation in front of him.

so the bodyguards should be unarmed ?? and how will they protect the VIP if a terrorist attacks ?
think a bit before saying meaningless things.

they surely didn't do anything as stupid after IG assasination. in fact SPG was set up after that to give high level protection to PM and family.

Perhaps to give a few more seconds (than a sidearm can give) to evacuate the protected from surprise attackers who came through somehow. Maybe there are SOPs to deal with rogue situations.
