Any idea why 2000 was skipped for hosting AI? Did they fear aircrafts would stop flying due to Y2K?

Aero India 96 and 98 were held in December. AI 2000 should have been December but was postponed by 2 months to Feb 2001 because of weather. I think it was decided that the weather would be better for flying in February

Those are Mahindra Jeeps, used by the Recce Troop in every Armoured Regiment. They have 7 Veh/ Recce Troop. These operate ahead of the Lead Sabre Squadron and provide Close Reconnaissance/Route Planning to the Armoured Regiment along it's axis of advance.

Never seen these helmets worn by the Indian soldiers. Are they specially ordered for training exercises with foreign forces so that out folks don't look vintage.
^^^ sure... we are wearing US gear for exercise ??; seems unlikely that we will loan gear from US - and if its happening its shameful IMHO. We can afford a good gear for our braves
