Yup very assertive and statesman like. He's turned out to be a far better leader than Gadkari who came across as being a bit too soft for that particular role.

Advani puts conditions to support Modi as PM candidate

BJP Parliamentary Board is meeting at 5 in the evening and it's not clear whether party patriarch L.K. Advani will approve Narendra Modi's name as party's prime ministerial candidate. Sources say that Advani has been persuaded to come on board as the board meets to ratify Modi's candidature. But Advani has put forward a set of conditions for his support.

1. Narendra Modi to step down as Gujarat Chief Minister and shift base to Delhi.

2. Narendra Modi must spend all his time and energy on the campaign for 2014.

3. Since Modis unwilling to quit his CM's post, he should appoint a deputy chief minister who will then handle the administrative functioning of the Gujarat government.

4. Modi must be inclusive in his attitude towards party leaders and must rein in his protege Amit Shah, who has rubbed senior leaders the wrong way.

5. Modi must accommodate other senior leaders in the campaign plan and must not rely so heavily and solely on Arun Jaitley.

Party president Rajnath Singh has assured Advani that his interests will be kept in mind and his conditions will be considered, but gave no concrete assurances. Sources say Mr Advani maintains that without a concrete assurance on his demands, he would register his protest as the parliamentary board meets to ratify Modi's name.

Narendra Modi keeping Guj CM post seem to work not well for dilli billis. However each state is also as important as any other so NaMo should be very careful here and not leave the post of Guj CM.

media walas desperately grasping onto and playing up the LKA 'rebellion' and his letter which apparently blames the 'working style' of Rajnath singh (credit must go to RNS then).

yeddy's merging the KJP back into the BJP is a welcome move, IMO. Good to see Amitbhai shah in Dilli, no time to waste now. Plans and steps need to be made and taken - approaching babulal marandi is one of them.

Its a FryDay for Congress and rapists.

The way BJP and its cadres strive to get LKA's blessings is really Indic samskurthi. Its far better than how Congress' arrogant Dynasty treated both its former presidents Sitaram Kesari and PVNR is well known. In case of PVNR, he did save both Congress and India at crucial juncture.

TsuNaMo has started, just wait for waves to hit shore (elections).
