We have to focus on getting our neighborhood in order. Something like DEU (Delhi Economic Union) can enhance trade and more closely integrate all the nations of Indian subcontinent. It will be easier for us to pressure Pakistan and China. Amit Shah will be the perfect fit for HM. Another thing Modi should do is replace the word secular in the Constitution with the word Dharmic and remove socialist. This will give the country a concrete identity.

Modi to BJP workers: Must aim for 90 percent polling booths in 2014
:
:
Speaking to the BJP workers of 26 Gujarat Lok Sabha seats on the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Modi said that people have expectations from them. ‘We do not want the target of 26 polling booths but we want to win 90 per cent polling booths. In the past we have won 60 to 70 per cent polling booths, why not aim for 90 percent," he said.

It seems AAP is seriously making inroads into young and eager. I have met many who are supporting them and i have been doing some deprogramming and trying to contribute in my small way.

but today's incident takes the cake as one of my juniors said will go to work on field for AAP. so i asked what he knows about it and why is he rooting for the them. So i get the usual fordkalal is non corrupt and candidates they are putting up are good and clean. So i had to take him through whole praja rajyam routine and how AAP is B team for con trying to comb up swing votes and help congress win plus he is one issue wonder with foreign funding and no vision ( the fake survey done by congress where AAP wins did seem to hit the nail in my opinion). Then explained few of things that Modi has implemented linking it to performance and vision. Seemed like he got the message.

^^ A little curious since you mentioned Praja Rajyam as a comparison. Is this friend of yours from Andhra? There is a guy on facebook(friend of friend) who is from AP and keeps posting contributions to AAP and he seemed to get lot of comments of support and people opening up to contribute and most of them are from AP again. Is AAP really popular in Andhra? I haven't seen similar stuff in KA or TN hence the question.

"Hindus Needs Voice at National N International Level"

Tauqir Raza says Kejriwal sought time to meet him! Where as Kejriwal's lie that "It was a coincidence meet"
Is it ethical to rope in clerics to campaign in elections?

Then Kejriwal said "He didnt knew about Tauqir Raza's past". So is it possible that in future he meets Hafiz Saeed or Dawood Ibrahim tomorrow (As he recently supported Batla House terrorist) & then complains he didnt know about them too?

Aiming from an IRS employee to state Chief Minister. Is it really a sacrifice? OR a Power Hunger ?

Nitish's loss may be Modi's gain

http://www.rediff.com/news/column/colum ... 131109.htm

Aditi phadnis

This is coming from one of the most Modi hating sickular terrorist loving jiurnalist
Governance was Nitish Kumar's USP among voters in Bihar -- it is now being appropriated by the Gujarat chief minister, says Aditi Phadnis

The Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government is in unstable equilibrium and in serious danger. Internally, the chatter in the Bharatiya Janata Party, which was in alliance with Kumar till recently, is that the continuance of the current government is in Narendra Modi’s hands -- the government can fall when he wants it to fall. As no one else is in a position to form a government, a prolonged spell of President’s Rule will follow. Of course, no one knows whether this will happen or not, or indeed, when. But Kumar is in retreat.

First the numbers. The Bihar assembly has 243 members. The halfway point is 122. Kumar has 117 MLAs and is supported by six independents. Add to this four of the Congress and superficially, it seems it will be impossible to dislodge him.

With 91 MLAs, there is no way, the next biggest party, the BJP can form a government unless the Janata Dal-United splits in half. That seems unlikely. But attrition from the JD-U cannot be ruled out.

The signs are already there. Shivanand Tiwari, inveterate party hopper and once the voice of the JD-U in New Delhi, has begun criticising Kumar. Those MLAs who were expecting to get ministerships vacated by the BJP ministers, when they walked out of the alliance a couple of weeks ago, find their hopes dashed and are ready to switch sides -- provided they get a Lok Sabha nomination. The BJP is in clover. The overall feeling is that the BJP ministers were a more performance-oriented lot than the JD-U ones -- who have proved to be extremely slow learners of governance. Now, the seat adjustment that had caused so much heartburn and had resulted in denial of seats to so many, is no longer in force. The BJP is now free to contest all 243-assembly seats and all 40 Lok Sabha seats on its own. For the party, it is a bonanza never seen before

There is no kind way to say this but the comprehensive security mismanagement of Modi’s Gandhi Maidan rally has added to the impression that the Kumar government has become administration-deficient.
My biggest question no politician want this kind of blood on his hands so brazenly. How did this man become so vicious, crooked and murderous that he is allowing free reign to terrorists and went to the extent of letting terrorists kill Modi

So now Congress will boycott TV debates that discuss opinion polls. BJP and Modi for a decade was on the hot seat, and had to play the game. Now Congress, just picks the bat and ball and goes home.

I have advocated BJP to control the media presence by sending at least 2 people in the TV debates; or abstain from debates/interview that clearly is going to to pit 1 person against 6 people.

Kejriwal ‘exposed’ Vadra to save Sonia: Swamy

6 November 2013, New Delhi, Siddheshwar Shukla

Swamy claimed that Aam Admi Party is a ploy of Congress to dispel anti-incumbency against its governments in Delhi

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal did an expose on Robert Vadra’s land deals at the behest of Congress to end property disputes between Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka and her husband.

‘I had the information and was collecting evidences to nail the big fish (Sonia Gandhi) in the Robert Vadra’s land deal scam as there were serious disputes between Priyanka and her husband on property. I was planning to drag the entire family in court. Suddenly, Arvind Kejriwal targeted Vadra in a planned manner which alerted the family and nothing happened after that,’ claimed Swamy in a press conference on Tuesday. ‘Can anybody in the country believe that Robert Vadra has his individual personality to act without the support of Gandhi family?’ he roared.

He further claimed that Aam Admi Party (AAP) is a ploy of Congress to dispel anti-incumbency against its governments in Delhi and New Delhi.

‘The Congress party has a history of using ‘use and throw’ policy for small political parties and AAP will also meet the same soon added Swamy.

‘Aruna Roy who was in Sonia’s National Advisory Council is now working for AAP so are some other Sonia’s close aides. Like Congress AAP has also termed Batla house a ‘fake encounter’ and Kejriwal’s recent meeting with Tauqeer Raza who had issued fatwa to behead famous writer Taslima Nasrin is enough to expose him he added. ‘There are enough circumstantial evidences that he is working in hands and gloves with Congress,’ blamed Swamy.

Union Minister Manish Tewari on Thursday justified the advisory to news channels saying that the sanctity associated with certain occasions has to be maintained. "15th August or 26th January are extremely important national days. There is a certain sanctity, gravitas and solemnity to certain national occasions and it is incumbent on all of us not to take away that solemnity," Tewari said.

Man, the comments sections are hilarious and actually very profound sometimes. Some one wants Congress to boycott the elections too. :rotfl:

Yes, AAP has support at least in Delhi. But could dissipate if they don't win. I don't think Nitish should be overthrown yet. Instead depending on results they should try to come to power on their own.

I think we should just dump all this strategic ally rubbish that the US bleats about and make the relationship coldly transactional. Favours for favours. No more and no less.

As a strategic partner, the US is wholly unreliable. It has a finger in a dozen pies, and as such, coming down to aid in - well - any matter important to India is unlikely. Also, on a civilisational scale, the US is simply too different and too predatory. It is unlikely to move to any real understanding of India's goals and aspirations. They are unwilling to even countenance our existence as a Hindu majority country. The Hindu majority is to be tolerated, grudgingly, until such a time when we can all be converted to Christianity, one way or the other. Indian institutions are to be infiltrated until they have been compromised and they are all in line with US interests. They do not want to ally with the India that exists, they wish to create a new allied India. Consequently, their interest in us will be only predatory.

So, I think we should just drop the charade and make the relationship between India and US transactional. US, on a civilisational level, will never be an Indian ally. Anyone who expects that is only fooling himself.

They will merge with Congis in the name of sickularism if none of the parties get majority seats, just like PrajaRajyam . Afterall what is the outcome of AAP. Focus away from Corruption, no Lokpal so far, channeling public ire against congis into black-hole from where no fruitful results would emerge.

I have already told here that Ford Congress has serious backing from mafia and west. West now wish to control India and Modi need to be stopped at any cost for that. If any one believes that US and EU allow India become a Economic Superpower and challenge them they are living in fools world. They will try every thing. Patna attempt is a small thing. Any thing may happen now. Modi may even get heart attack tonight. India has lost two PMs (3 if you count Shasri) to killings. Killing Modi is a small think.

Just like Hemu or Rama Raya a lot depends on one man. BJP was therefore correct in making huge issue on Security etc.

AAP drama is going to create new votes. we shall see how they vote

Any nation talking of balance of power in south Asia is not India's friend for sure simply because:

1) paki have India centric forces and have attacked India many times. It has also genocided Hindus in Bengal, Kashmir, mainland pak.
2) balancing means decrease Indian force strength and increasing paki capabilities.

The above two points mean more possibility of war against India by pakis because of such policies. It is clear.

Add to this dubious control of terrorists, good/bad difference of terrorists as excuse to ignore selective terror, ignoring direct paki terror attacks etc.

USA can't be friend of Indians by any yardstick with such policies and selective ignorance of terror.

I know this AAP lot very very well..including upto K'wal and some of his very close friends from IIT. They are complete Psecs of the highest order. Even more than the Nehruvian types. Only the most deracinated variety is thinking wow..what a great alternative. They have spread the LIE that corruption is a root cause of all problems in India and not that Corruption is the effect of bad policy. When i stated this on this forum 2 years back many here were hammer and tongs on me. People who cannot think on their own need crutches, slogans, rhetoric that looks/ sounds good/ cool/ etc. We have lots of them in India.

Praise Narendra Modi & you become India's Most Wanted
She sang her first song even before Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi or many other Congress leaders were born. Not one but several generations grew up to her melodious voice and many more will do so in the years to come. She was won the highest civilian honour in India and her patriotic songs can bring a tear down anyone's eye. Yet, that does not stop enlightened Congressmen from rebuking Lata Mangeshkar because she has committed the worst crime in the rulebook of the Congress party- praise Narendra Modi! Lata Mangeshkar committed the 'crime' on the evening of November 1 when she said, "Narendrabhai is like my brother. All of us want to see him become the Prime Minister. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I hope our wishes come true." This statement was enough to send Congressmen into a tizzy. The Lata Mangeshkar, whose "Aaye Mere Watan Ke Logo" brought tears to the eyes of none other than Pandit Nehru was now a punching bag for the Congress. The effervescent Rajiv Shukla, who has no reservations in saying Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha will campaign for the Congress squirmed. India's former ambassador to Angola (a political appointee) and Congress spokesperson Meem Afzal commented on Lata Mangeshkar's stint as a Rajya Sabha MP and urged her to stay out of politics. Bhakta Charan Das lived up to his name and continued the adverse comments on Lata Mangeshkar. Suddenly, there was a competition among Congressmen as to who will give the shrillest call for Lata Mangeshkar to stay out of politics! Such is their fear and contempt of Narendra Modi that they will not even spare a national icon.
The other bands of 'criminals' are the same set of people you see everyday on television. Yes, TV journalists and psephologists whose opinion polls predict rising popularity of Narendra Modi and declining star of Rahul Gandhi have been called 'unscientific' and 'sold to the highest bidder' by the epitome of honesty, the Congress.
In fact, Congress' new best friend (not the JD(U)), the Aam Admi Party called a psephologist an RSS agent just because a relative of his was associated with the Jan Sangh. His crime too was very simple- he predicts a Narendra Modi wave and talks about a rise in the BJP's prospects in Delhi after Dr Harsh Vardhan became CM candidate.
One can understand if Congress involves singers, actors, investment banks but their desperation has scaled such heights they have not sparred scientists as well. Take the case of Nambi Narayanan, who everyone agrees is one of the best scientists we have produced. When details emerged how RB Sreekumar, another 'secular hero' tortured Narayanan, Sreekumar himself and Shaktisinh Gohil preferred to go on a tirade against Nambi Narayanan, even linking Modi in the debate. At least spare the scientists! But then, strange are the ways in the Congress- the bright and honest ones are tortured and the torturers are rewarded. The likes of Lata Mangeshkar, Goldman Sachs, Nambi Narayanan join a very exclusive list of ‘India's Most Wanted'- the dreaded list of people who have committed crimes even bigger than Dawood Ibrahim or Tiger Memon. Stalwarts of this list include Amitabh Bachchan, who praised Modi, became Gujarat tourism's brand ambassador only to be snubbed by Maharashtra's Congress government. Other members are RK Raghavan, whose offence was that he followed the highest court of the land and conducted probe into the Gujarat riots that found no role of Narendra Modi in the violence. After years of meritorious service, what RK Raghavan got was allegations of impropriety and corruption.
Mehbooba Mufti could not courageously say she praised Narendra Modi due the fear of this same Intellectual Taliban, who even made Sheila Dixit backtrack her statement saying governments get re-elected because they work.

kala-angrez destiny is written all over the planet.. but what causing me racking under my b@lls is the counter-communal commies taking over and upsetting under the name of joint-secular-commies action force gaining hands from local and linguistic minorities.

the faster bajapa plans a fundamental restructuring process to establish regional and linguistic forces for unity, the more they can establish to drive these commies off land. some people have become baseless after modi arrival, but i want that force within him, take up to establish many modilets in all linguistic states, where the reach is small .. establish a seat or two to begin with high social or gramene plans, focused area development plank. they can do this.. a counter virus or anti-venom is to build a better immune system. that means from suchalaya to devalaya in a way, that builds basic infras at village level. ignore these cities, and focus on village development plan - infrastructure for hygiene, temple schools, roads, high-speed transportation, data networks, edu systems, technology everything moves distributed and clustered. this will establish the movement - modeled and corrected as we go.

village way is the highest way for removing the evil in the society.

Will Pakistan decide the next Indian PM?
It needs to be investigated that that why was Patna chosen by the IM and its handlers in Pakistan for attempt to assassinate Modi. The truth is that a fertile ground has consciously been nurtured in the state to facilitate jihadi terror.
North Bihar has emerged as the hub of jihadi terror after 26/11, particularly after the visit of the CM to Pakistan. One of the founders of IM Amir Reza Khan was from Bihar. The key early recruits to the organization Fasih Mohammed and Mohd Tarique Anjum hailed from Darbhanga and Nalanda respectively. It was Fasih Mohammad who took Yasin Bhatkal to Darbhanga. Fasih and LeT chief Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi together monitored 26/11 attack from control room set up in Malir in Karachi. There also have been recent reports to suggest teaming up of IM with Al Quaeda. Bihar is also one of meeting points of two terrors, i.e. Jihadi Terror and Maoist Terror. Yasin Bhatkal has revealed that he met Maoist leaders in Nepal before serial blasts rocked Gaya in July. The boy who desecrated the iconic Amar Jawan Jyoti in Mumbai was one Yunus Ansari, also from Bihar.
It was in Bihar that some politicians described the LeT operative Ishrat Jahan as ‘Bihar ki Beti’ (daughter of Bihar). The alleged mastermind of Patna blasts Tehseen Akhtar, is the main financer of terrorist attacks by Indian Mujahedeen and obtains money from his handlers in Pakistan through hawala transactions from Dubai, tapping into Dawood’s network. He too hails from Samistipur in Bihar. Latest reports also suggest that eight students of particular hostel were indoctrinated, trained and paid Rs 10,000 to plant bombs in Gandhi Maidan. It indicates the level of Islamic radicalization in Bihar. When the Chief Minister of a state begins to treat a counterpart as enemy and not political adversary for reasons solely attributable to religious vote bank, it only abets fundamentalism, radicalization and terror. In effect it conveys mistaken signals to the security apparatus of the state. It is in this politically cultivated environment that for the first time in India a political rally became target of terrorist attack. Security is the decisive component of governance. There can be no development without security. If a CM tries to toss the buck of terrorism at the Central Government it amounts to criminal neglect or conspiracy, because he is not only guilty of creating a political environment to facilitate terror but also of deliberate dereliction by willfully neglecting an appropriate response and security structure. A prominent lawyer and very credible spokesman of a political party has spoken about the infiltration of IM in Bihar Police. Jihadi terror and Maoist terror when considered together, the situation in Bihar is grim. It may be mentioned that 32 out of 38 districts in Bihar are impacted by Maoist terror. There are no go areas in certain parts of Gaya district, even for the CM.
It seemed incredulous because India never had such political culture even in the days preceding Emergency or after. Soon after the rally as this author was waiting outside the Gandhi Maidan for the crowd to subside, a car driver of some dignitary hailing from Buxar, during the course of conversation, and in full innocence said that he had arrived at 8.30 in the morning and was warned by a bystander that he should not wait for the rally to begin as the entire venue had been planted with bombs. His apprehensive companion in fact tried to dissuade him from sharing this information. In all political assassinations in India it is invariably observed that key personalities and functionaries are away from scene of disaster or chose to be away from town. This happened in the case of Rajiv Gandhi or more recently in the Maoist murder of politicians in Chhattisgarh and of course now. The main suspect in Chhattisgarh massacre struts openly on the political landscape of the state. The facilitators of Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination have been enjoying the fruits of power under all dispensationsConcluding Question The blasts at Gandhi Maidan pose the most alarming question, i.e. is Pakistan going to determine who will be the next prime minister of India?

Congress: Why 2004 was a false dawn

Minhaz Merchant

An enduring myth is that the Congress “won” the 2004 Lok Sabha election. Did it really? Consider the facts closely. The Congress won 145 seats in 2004 – barely four more than it had won in 1998 (141 seats) when it was defeated by the Vajpayee-led BJP.

More significantly, in 2004, the Congress won just seven seats more than the BJP (138). Had it not been for the Left Front which gave it outside support with its block of 60 seats, there would have been no UPA-1 – and perhaps none of UPA-1’s scams: 2G spectrum, Coalgate, Commonweath Games, AgustaWestland, Scorpene, etc.

Ironically, 2004 was a Left project and the Left has not yet been held to account for its lax surveillance of UPA-1’s scams during its coordination meetings to monitor the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) on which the Congress-Left alliance was based.

How about 2009? Was the Congress’ victory with 206 seats a blip? How will the Congress do in 2014?

An examination of the Congress’ seat tally and voteshare in the last five general elections from 1996 to 2009 throws up interesting clues.

Congress seats and voteshare (1996-2009)

Seats

Voteshare (%)

1996

140

28.80

1998

141

25.82

1999

114

28.30

2004

145

26.53

2009

206

28.55

The startling conclusion: In the four general elections between 1996 and 2004, the Congress won 145 seats or less in each of these Lok Sabha polls. Its average tally in the four general election from 1996-2004: 135 seats.

Now consider 2009. The Congress tally jumped to 206 seats. What made the difference?

The short answer: Manmohan Singh, in his pre-scam avatar.

The urban middle-class, on the cusp of five years of 8%-plus GDP growth, placed its trust in his leadership. The Congress won a large number of the country’s 160 urban Lok Sabha seats. The Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2008 and the Lehman Brothers collapse on September 15, 2008 only served to consolidate the middle-class vote behind the Congress.

In 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004, the Congress averaged 135 Lok Sabha seats. So the 206 seats it won in 2009 was clearly a blip. With the urban vote turning viscerally against UPA-2 following scams, inflation and damage to institutions such as CAG, CVC and even the PMO, the Congress’ seat tally in 2014 should logically fall to its trendline average between 1996 and 2004, viz around 135.

But here too there are three new factors at work: severe anti-incumbency due to corruption and inflation; disruption in Andhra Pradesh; and Narendra Modi’s rise.

Put together, these factors could take the Congress all the way back to its 1999 tally of 114 Lok Sabha seats – and perhaps considerably lower.

Without the 33 seats it won in Andhra in 2009, given the uncertain fate of Telangana, and trouble brewing in Kerala, only Maharashtra and Karnataka are likely to give the Congress more than 10 seats each. If its Lok Sabha tally in 2014 falls to 100 seats, that will be 35 seats lower than its 1996-2004 average of 135. Plausible? If the Congress could exceed the 135-seat average in 2009 by 71 seats, a fall of 35 seats to 100 in 2014 is statistically plausible.

More worryingly for the Congress, will 100 be its new long-term trendline average in the Lok Sabha, down from its 1996-2004 average of 135?

Jairam Ramesh said recently that he’s “frustrated” with Rahul because his thinking is too long-term. Rahul is more realistic than Jairam. His family has a stake in the Congress and as a stakeholder knows when the tide is turning. Long-term recovery for the Congress, Rahul knows, is a long-term project.

But before that happens, the party will have to undergo a transformation, shedding its dynastic trappings to become a professional, modern and democratic party.

Niran garu, that's some astonishing numbers! Aap ke muh mein ghee-shakkar.

NaMo as PM with a 272+ majority in Lok Sabha shall be as significant as 15 Aug 1947 in terms of long term implications for Bharat. Hope the numbers are accurate and the NaMo wave holds for another 6 months. Jai ho!

Niranji bhajpa has this unique ability to snatch defeat from jaws of victory, they have done this in 2004 and repeated in 2009 so wont be surprised if it happens again

^^^^in 2004 they had LKA by then the likes of Mahajan guru and Kalyan Singh were either dead or expelled from bhajapa
in 2009 once again it was LKA this time they did not have any thing or any one to pull in the voters except kala dhan and rath yatra
currently congress have chopped off their own head, the mehngai, bhrastachar which prior to 2009 onree ranked at the bottom of the voters
concern has become the top 5 concerns since Anna Hazaray at Ramlila maidan, and we all now know who was the main backers , yes?
then Baba Ramdev at Ramlila maidan and the crack down on any any everything related to NaMo or Bhajapa with their assorted alphabet soup sarkari agencies, not to say of the world record scams, if even these cannot dislodge congress then rest assured you will be prosecuted just to yell Har! Har! Mahadev!

That is why they brought in Ford Congress forward. 3 way contest with Ford cheaters taking small but critical portion of anti congress vote which would have otherwise gone to BJP. Defeating AAP at Delhi therefore critical. There seems to be serious micro management at Delhi from Gadkari and NM. Most of it not getting reported. Better organisation, method, poll day management is the way and reaching the people and educating them about the AAP fraudes is a must. In a way Delhi becomes very critical.

C'garh and MP may become too close. MP we can expect Diggi to make worst kind of things and lose. But Ajit Jogi and EJ/Naxal conbination are quite powerfull. NM and others need to give further support to Raman Singhji.
