No, I don't think so.
IIRC, I had posted a piece from a news site. Once I learnt about this. But no confirmation from the official sources.

Understandable.
India started "IMEC" to assist Israel very early in this conflict. Typical of Modi, the entire "supply chain" was mapped out and implemented. In Oct, 2023!!! Within a few days, not weeks.
The challenge was "transportation". Rail vs. road.
Take care.

24 Israeli Soldiers killed in single day of action, 21 in what appears to be a bobby trapped building that collapsed during RPG attacks that destroyed it along with it a Israeli tank with 3 personnel inside.
Despite overwhelming Israel's conventional superiority it appears that a well entrenched guerilla force can inflict serious casualities in a Urban context.

This is why India should stop funding all UN agencies......
The UK, Canada, Australia, Italy and Finland follow the lead of the US and announce suspension of funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency

Re: Hamas attack.on Israel. Oct 2023
Yes, contrary to some claims of IMEC being dead on arrival, it has already started to function much earlier. A major focus of IMEC concept was to provide resilience in a part of the world which is both turbulent and an important trade/energy corridor. When the going gets tough, the tough are supposed to get going.
Re: Hamas attack.on Israel. Oct 2023
IMEC was clearly mentioned in the budget speech of Dr NS today as NaMo's key intiative.
This Gaza conflict cannot last forever, and after that, IMEC will be completed.

One may do a scholarly dissection of perennial Muslim anger or the aggression inherent to Abrahamic creeds, but ultimately we come up against this.

Rescue of hostages in Rafah was serious commando ops stuff full of short distance gun fight, hand2hand combat, diversionary air strikes: sounds like a Hwood film

How Israeli commandos blasted their way into Rafah apartment to rescue hostages
Daring raid to extricate Fernando Marman and Louis Har marks one of the few occasions IDF ground forces have entered the southern city
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/ ... ages-raid/
At 1.49am on Monday, Israeli commandos climbed to the roof of a two-storey building in the middle of the southern city of Rafah.
Acting on intelligence that two hostages were being held inside, the elite counter-terrorism soldiers blasted their way into an apartment on the second floor, setting off explosives attached to the front door to force their way in.
Three Hamas terrorists standing in the corridor were killed instantly. Those men were guarding Fernando Marman, 60, and Louis Har, 70, who were kidnapped from their kibbutz of Nir Yitzhak just across from Gaza 129 days earlier.
The daring raid marks one of the few occasions Israeli ground forces have entered Rafah since their war on Hamas began. Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, is preparing to launch a full-scale assault on the city where one million Gazans are sheltering.
The raid on Rafah was made possible by advanced Israeli intelligence. Commandos were alerted not only about the situation inside the apartment complex but also that a high number of Hamas fighters were stationed in two adjacent buildings.
During the operation, troops from the Yamam counter-terrorism unit ushered the hostages to safety.
“From the moment of the breach and entry of the apartment, Yamam forces shielded Louis and Fernando with their bodies, initiating a daring battle and heavy exchange of fire at several locations simultaneously, with many terrorists,” Rear Adm Daniel Hagari, an IDF spokesman, said on Monday.
Additional ground troops from the Navy’s Shayetet 13 commando unit and 7th Armoured Brigade provided cover for the commandos and the hostages as Hamas fighters opened fire from the surrounding buildings, injuring one soldier.
At around 1.50am, Israel called in airstrikes as a diversion to help the soldiers and the hostages escape.
The devastating bombings destroyed 14 buildings and killed at least 67 Palestinians, authorities in Gaza said.
Footage from the scene showed a dozen buildings reduced to a rubble of concrete and houses left without windows.
Rights groups condemned the airstrikes on Rafah, the most densely populated area in Gaza.
Doctors without Borders on Monday said “Israel’s declared ground offensive on Rafah would be catastrophic and must not proceed”.
The airstrikes helped the commandos evacuate the two men in an armoured vehicle, which transported them to the border just a few kilometres away
A military helicopter with Israeli soldiers was waiting outside the fence to airlift the hostages to the Sheba medical centre near Tel Aviv, where the families were already waiting.
Israel had intelligence about the two men’s whereabouts and had been preparing the operation for some time, according to the Israeli military. They were waiting for the right conditions on the ground and had to abort a rescue mission last week.
Israel’s top brass assembled on Monday night at an operational headquarters in Be’er Sheva on the northern edge of the Negev desert to monitor the rescue in real time. Mr Netanyahu, the Israeli president, and the defence minister joined them at what was a “very tense and emotional night”, according to the IDF.
The joint operation by the Yamam counter-terrorism unit, the Shin Bet security agency at the IDF is the first successful hostage rescue since a female Israeli soldier was saved from Gaza in the early days of the ground offensive in late October.
The families had no idea an operation to save their loved ones was afoot when they got a call in the middle of the night asking them to travel to the hospital to meet them.
Louis Har’s son-in-law said his wife was shocked when she got the call informing her she should come to the Sheba medical centre to meet her father.
“She couldn’t speak,” Idan Bejerano told public broadcaster Kan.
“She was in shock. We were tense for an hour, an hour and a half – until we met.”
The two released hostages looked “thin and pale” but seemed to be communicating well and aware of their surroundings, according to Mr Bejerano.
When he saw his son-in-law, Mr Har reportedly told him: “You have a birthday today, mazal tov!”
The IDF, in a message detailing the operation, said the excitement at the rescue should not outweigh the anxiety of the families of the remaining 134 hostages still in Hamas captivity.
“If you are listening to me, know that we are determined to bring you back home,” Mr Hagari said.
“We will not give up any opportunity to bring you back home.”

This name is quite popular in several middle eastern and Levant countries. Recently a new born Saudi princess was also named Hind iirc.

Oh wow. Major plans are afoot to get rid of the Palestinian problem. Biden has already paved the way for it. Soon the baton will be handed to Kushner to complete the final stretch. I think Iran's going to come squarely in their way. Maybe Americans will finally manage to reunite all Sunnis and Shias in hatred against them.

In an interview with Harvard University, Trump's top White House adviser described a potential Palestinian state as 'a super bad idea,' and suggested Israel 'bulldoze something in the Negev' to house displaced Palestinians so it can reconstruct Gaza and 'finish the job'

Jared Kushner Says Gaza’s ‘Waterfront Property Could Be Very Valuable’
Jared Kushner has praised the “very valuable” potential of Gaza’s “waterfront property” and suggested Israel should remove civilians while it “cleans up” the strip.
The former property dealer, married to Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, made the comments in an interview at Harvard University on 15 February. The interview was posted on the YouTube channel of the Middle East Initiative, a program of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, earlier this month.
Kushner was a senior foreign policy adviser under Trump’s presidency and was tasked with preparing a peace plan for the Middle East. Critics of the plan, which involved Israel striking normalisation deals with Gulf states, said it bypassed questions about the future for Palestinians.

I have absolutely no problem with the Israelis going into Rafah, civilian casualties are something hamass are responsible for. they are the one's who started this, civillian deaths are on their heads.
If hamass are not totally defeated, and seen to be defeated then they will be seen as heroes in the arab/islamic world. They cannot be allowed to survive in any form.
Mercy is seen as a weakness by the peaceful ones, there should be none.
This article just about sums up the same view.

That being said, I think Netanyahu bears responsibility for helping build up Hamas as a way to defeat PLO ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend")
It's called Blowback.
It's like when US armed & cultivated jihadists in Afghanistan to fight Soviets, and then got attacked by same jihadists on 9/11.
Or when US helped Imperial Japan to fight Russia in far east, and then got attacked by them at Pearl Harbor.
We also armed & trained LTTE yet later saw them turn against us.

Just because it's a blowback doesn't mean Hamas has to be destroyed.
Re: Hamas attack.on Israel. Oct 2023
If any part of it is left to survive then it will reform. What do you think the Israelis are supposed to do? You cannot negotiate with or allow a group to exist if it intends to destroy you and your people.
How can they not be destroyed ???
