The nuclear-armed country that has been threatening India with Nukes has been tongue-tied when Israel declares it won’t stop short of destroying Gaza lock, stock, and barrel. People ask where is Pakistan’s much-trumpeted “Islamic Bomb” while Islam is faced with a grave challenge.
But Iran, as an active member of the OIC and vociferously anti-Israel, had understood long back that Pakistan’s claim of an “Islamic Bomb” was only a hoax without substance or, to be too frank as Iranians think, is not in actual control of the device.
Curiously, while Israel has been keen on disabling Iranian nuclear capability and earlier did destroy Iraq and Syria’s nuclear pursuit, it never threatened Pakistan with any punitive action when Islamabad was very close to producing the bomb. Even the US, too, had turned its eye away from Pakistan’s nuclear program.
This clearly shows that Pakistan’s nuclear trajectory is India-oriented, with a green signal both from Washington and Tel Aviv.

In 80's Israel govt requested India to just provide runways for landing after Israel bombed the shit out of Paki reactors.
GoI denied, even after knowing that Pak was pursuing nuclear weapons and closer to making a bomb.
****** all that, our PM foolishly talked about Paki nuke program with the Paki Counterpart, which resulted in killing of our spy, no nuke program related leaks came after that.
Now, lets get back to the Paki Bomb, the Paki somehow came to know about the deal and the response by GoI. Paki took advantage of our fear and openly declared that it doesn't matter who or when Paki nuclear reactors are attacked, they'll dump all the nuclear waste in sea closer to Mumbai and make it inhabitable.
PS. I've read some shitty articles from Eurasian Times, but this one takes the cake.

The Department of State is designating four entities pursuant to Section 1(a)(ii) of Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery. These entities have supplied missile‐applicable items to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program, including its long-range missile program.
* Belarus-based Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant has worked to supply special vehicle chassis to Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile program. Such chassis are used as launch support equipment for ballistic missiles by Pakistan’s National Development Complex (NDC), which is responsible for the development of Missile Technology Control Regime Category (MTCR) I ballistic missiles.
* People’s Republic of China (PRC)-based Xi’an Longde Technology Development Company Limited, has supplied missile-related equipment, including a filament winding machine, to Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile program that we assess was destined for NDC. Filament winding machines can be used to produce rocket motor cases.
* PRC-based Tianjin Creative Source International Trade Co Ltd has supplied missile-related equipment to Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile program, including stir welding equipment (which the United States assesses can be used to manufacture propellant tanks used in space launch vehicles), and a linear accelerator system (which the United States assesses can be used in the inspection of solid rocket motors). Tianjin Creative’s procurements were likely destined for Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), which develops and produces Pakistan’s MTCR Category I ballistic missiles.
* PRC-based Granpect Company Limited has worked with Pakistan’s SUPARCO to supply equipment for testing of large diameter rocket motors. In addition, Granpect Co. Ltd. also worked to supply equipment for testing large diameter rocket motors to Pakistan’s NDC.

Tehran has issued a deadline: finish the pipeline segment by March 2024 or incur financial repercussions amounting to nearly $18bn — a sum that could prompt international arbitration.
But Islamabad is also feeling the pressure from the US. Last month, Donald Lu, the US assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia cautioned Pakistan against importing gas from Iran, as it would expose it to US sanctions

Yawn - Russia warns of rice import ban over safety concerns
Russia has warned Pakistan that it will ban rice imports again if their phytosanitary concerns are not addressed in future consignments.
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (FSVPS) of the Russian Federation issued a notification regarding violations of international and Russian phytosanitary requirements over a shipment of rice imported from Pakistan.
The notification, numbered FS-SA-3/6592 and dated April 2, 2024, highlights the presence of a quarantine organism, “Megaselia scalaris (Loew),” in the rice consignment.
Russia had previously imposed a ban on similar grounds in 2019, which remained in place for around two years. It was lifted after a series of negotiations between officials of both sides. Earlier, in December 2006, Russia also stopped the import of rice from Pakistan for not meeting food safety standards.

A supply-side India
India has never looked back to the IMF and has sustainably grown over the last two decades with average growth rates of 8%, and this degree of economic growth has produced strong gains in the real per capita income, a higher 30% investment-to-GDP ratio, robust exports (merchandise and services combined) at $765 billion and foreign exchange reserves at $648 billion.
If India’s supply-side leadership took the bold and correct steps towards economic prosperity, so why can’t we in Pakistan?

Till a couple of months ago this dude was ranting about no trade with India due to repeal of Art 370 in Cashmere. Looks like he got a reset recently...
Yawn - Normalising trade with India
Yawn - Normalising trade with India
We need to recognise the importance of time and make smart choices for our future. Pakistan’s economy has not been doing well: in FY23, it shrank by 0.6 per cent, and it’s predicted to grow only by 2pc in FY24 against a population growth of 2.6pc.
Poverty is already a big problem, affecting about 40pc of people, and it’s getting worse due to high inflation and low growth.
We need a proactive approach to getting out of such a hopeless situation, and normalising trade with India can bring us many benefits.
First, let’s consider the potential for total international trade growth. According to the World Bank, if we establish a normal trading relationship with India, our exports could increase by a staggering 80pc, or about $25 billion. This could be a game-changer for Pakistan — enhancing our exports, easing our shortage of foreign exchange, and boosting our GDP growth.
Since Pakistan has banned imports from India, it could take the first step of lifting the ban. Of course, India would need to reciprocate by removing extra duties imposed on Pakistani imports.

It seems Pakistan periodically backstabs US -- whether by supporting Taliban and AlQaeda, or whether by proliferating P-1 nuclear centrifuges to Iran. Given the emerging Cold War between Iran and US/Israel, it seems like Pakistan is a longterm liability to the latter, posing a major risk of a backstab they can't afford.

Sridhar sir, as you very well know, Bakistan likes to think that it can play many games as it was once the playground of the great game. They seem to have only recently realised that both the playground, and the teams, have shifted to the north west. And the next playground will probably be located in the far east.
Jihadistans only hope now of being in any of the playing leagues is solely dependent on a meek India. They are aghast to see a Modi-fied India totally shutting the gate, the door and the windows to them. Their desperate hope was the 2024 elections somehow bringing back the dynasty, who would bring back Art 370 thus providing them with a face-saver to say 'Ok. India has accepted our demand. Let's trade'. But now they do not seem too optimistic about it happening - hence all the outreach drama from Track thoo ex-bureaucrats.

Promising idea. A solution has been found to the perpetual circular debt problem of the power sector. With its strong IT infrastructure and 80 million intelligent social media users, Pakistan can easily combine artificial intelligence with ingenious smart grid technology to plug the holes in the power bucket and win back the trust of 250 million people, transforming the country into an economic power.

Re: Terroristan - March 31, 2022
Anujan ji,
And the pakis want the very same, the one and only, the Indian tea boy to "agree to trade" with them
these jihadis are mentally deficient to think that India's policy of keeping them isolated and confined to the other side of the attari border is not a deliberately thought out policy, all the more satisfying, when the pakis, so very fortuitously, and from their side, unilaterally "stopped trade with India"
despite so many futile paki overtures for trade with India in recent years, "trade" has been off the table and the blame lies squarely with them
Re: Terroristan - March 31, 2022
The other innuendo there is that TSP introduced SCADA as early as 1992 while even an advanced Indian state like Gujarat did so only after the Teaboy became the CM.

History of SCADA in Indian Power System
The requirement of SCADA in the Indian power system was felt in the early eighties when the Central Electricity Authority took the lead and started implementation of the SCADA systems through its Regional Electricity Boards (REBs) with World Bank funding. The SCADA systems were implemented in three regions, namely Northern, Eastern, and Western Regions from 1984 to 1989. Systems in Northern Region and Eastern Region were from Siemens and in the Western Region SCADA system was from ABB. Apart from the three RLDCs, Maharashtra was the first SLDC to implement the SCADA which was also of Siemens make. These systems were monitoring the power system at the transmission level and distribution SCADA was not included at that time. These systems were mainly based on mainframe computer systems.

Pakistan advises ICC to schedule India's qualifying round games for 2025 Champions Trophy in one city
FirstCricket Staff • May 1, 2024
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has advised the International Cricket Council (ICC) to have all of India’s qualifying round matches in one city during next year’s Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
The 2025 Champions Trophy not only marks the tournament’s return after eight years, it also will be the first major event hosted entirely in Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup. Pakistan was scheduled to host last year’s Asia Cup as well, but was forced to co-host the event with Sri Lanka after India refused to travel to Pakistan due to political tensions and security concerns.
The PCB has narrowed down Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore as the three host cities for the mega event next year, with Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium scheduled to host the final.
ICC general manager Wasim Khan also recently visited Lahore where he discussed the CT arrangements with the PCB top brass and it was suggested that the Indian team’s travel itinerary be kept to a minimum, a PCB source informed.
The source added that India could play its initial qualifying round games at Karachi before proceeding to the venues for the knockouts.
