I think the buddhists or the jains were involved in the blasts.
I am 400% sure that Religion of Peace had nothing to do with it.

Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
Well if you think making cheap remarks about islam is "productive", I beg to differ. You can of course have your opinions but then I have to moderate discussions as I see fit. We all know about the modus operandi of islamists (the soft and hard face) but I don't think this kind of remarks add even an anna to anybody's understanding of the matter.
people on or around b'lore : what is the type of the area that has been targetted ?
thanks.

was bound to happen -should generate enormous heat on dilli frm usual suspects
Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
1. Nayandahalli on Mysore road, as far as I know has a sizeable Muslim presence there. But have not heard any sort of violence from that side before (when compared to areas like Shivaji Nagar, Russel Market etc.)Rahul M wrote:people on or around b'lore : what is the type of the area that has been targetted ?thanks.
2. The other blast seems to be in the bus stop close to St.John's Hospital, Madivala. That area is frequented by every one, and don't have much houses/slums etc. there. St.John's hospital occupies the maximum landspace there.

Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
Familiar cycle.
Stage 1 - Bomb blasts
Stage 2 - Furor in media
Stage 3 - Govt promises action
Stage 4 - Sets up an enquiry committee
Stage 5 - Everybody forgets and life goes on as normal.
All the breast-beating will be of no use. We will be back to square one (praise be to *****), after couple of weeks, forgetting the episode.

Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
One person was killed in seven blasts that rocked Bengaluru and its outskirts on Friday afternoon. While four low-intensity blasts went off at Nayandahalli, Madivala, Adugodi areas on the outskirts, blasts also rocked the tony areas near Mallya Hospital, Langford Road and Richmond Circle in Bengaluru city. Two blasts were reported in Madivala.
Although the police have not yet been able to ascertain the cause of the blast, reports suggest that it may be an act of terror.
The first blast took place at Madiwala check post which incidentally is behind the famous Forum Mall, one of the leading shopping destinations in Bangalore. The second and third blasts took place at Nayandahalli and Adugodi both on the outskirts of the city.
Initial reports suggested that the blasts were low intensity caused by gelatin sticks, normally used for quarrying and mining.
Several persons have been injured in the attack and they have been admitted to the St Johns Hospital in Bangalore
Further details awaited.

Which other country reports the location of blast and couches it under "place of worship"? Grow up and have the ability to speak truth and face truth; however unpleasant it may be. No other country does this kind of ostrich behavior.
Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
Sachin, thanks for the update.
I must say that the intel organisations should have picked up the scents before this had happened. w/o expanding the mandate of the intel set-up and and their powers, there is no way such attacks can be prevented in the future.

Well, Madivala area has two places of worship pretty close to each other. There is a Madivala Masjid, and an Ayyappa temple which is pretty close to each other (infact diagonally opposite).Arun_S wrote:Which other country reports the location of blast and couches it under "place of worship"?
Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
Condolences to those killed and maimed.
Will have to await another email written by some 'Hindustan Mujahid army' or something with a long list of outrageous demands and with terms like 'Gujrat' and 'Babri' thrown in as well, perhaps. Of course the psecs and the left will focus only on these pieces ignoring everything else and somehow the media will give them disproportionate space. Let us not forget the last time the marxists focused on the investigation piece. They advised Dilli to not do 'one-sided' investigations effectively saying 'don't go there'.
Oh, and expect to see some demand relating to IUCNA as well, who knows?
BTW, anyone know if Gilani/Kayani etc have called Dilli yet to offer condolences and commiserate with a 'fellow victim of terrorism'?
With a bhajpa sarkar in B'lore, I do hope the blasts investigations will be apolitical and efficient. Maybe its a vain hope but let us wait and see. Anyway, I hope this won't be politicized but I guess that is again, too much to ask for.

Well, Teesta, A Roy and R Guha were art though? putiing make up perhaps. Expect to hear how the people of Karnataka derserve this because they voted for the BJP.
Anyways BR was predicting increase in Jihadi activity based on statements of Paki politicians for the last 4 months. Well, its coming true- sad. I guess the IB was busy monitoring whether the MP's taking money will vote for the Government or not.

Anything special about today's date ?
Are these warning shots being fired or dry run for something big ? ISI for sure is trained for bigger blasts than these ?
Just trying to connect the dots here.

Blaming the Intelligence agencies is totally wrong. This is defensive mindset to sit on our asses and expect agencies to catch the balls pakis are throwing on our cities. Stupidity.
Focus should be how to reply with 10 times intensity to those who did it. I say, Blow them hard.
Time has come to take off senior rank in ISI.

Re: Blasts in Bangalore - News and Discussions
Its total stupidity to block communication lines, after a blast. Our babus are idiots.
Blocking communication lines only hurts ourselves. It disrupts disaster recovery services and medical, anciliiary activities needed in the immediate aftermath of attack.
The logic that Hindu-muslims riot may erupt after blast, is total childish. Is bangalore an immature society? Well, if that is so, then let them fight together. After 3-4 fights, they will get sense into their heads and they will take their lessons. By babysitting them, babus are only making situation worse.
Babus should understand that they should address real reasons rather than managing the consequences of blasts. This way, babus are only providing cushion to paki attacks for soft-landing by managing mob-anger.
This whole game of calling NSG from Delhi, IB team investigating, then SG visiting spot after a week, is a drama to manage public anger.
This strategy only pushes confidence of pakis up. They know, they have "terror-managers"(GoI) here so they can attack and kill 1,000 each year and still there will be no voice.
Shameless boneless leaders.
