Pramila Jayapal is a US Congresswoman who is a known India-baiter. She's a hard leftist, and has also antagonized the Israel lobby, which has vowed to unseat her.

She has an older sister Susheela Jayapal, who is also now running for Congress as well. The powerful pro-Israel lobby AIPAC has been caught trying to funnel money to her opponents.

I believe most CEOs are born and educated in India. The American born or brought up Indians haven't achieved the same success. Also, there used to be a time in the 2000s where a lot of Indians established successful multi billion dollar startups. We don't hear about them as much these days. By now Indian Americans should have had a few Jensen Huangs.

Susheela Jayapal (older sister of the India-basher Pramila Jayapal) has been defeated in her run for state legislator in Oregon, by rival Maxine Dexter.

AIPAC has vowed to oust Pramila Jayapal from the US Congress for her attacks on Israel. The sister Susheela was trying to get her own seat in the Oregon state assembly, but was defeated after a mysterious sudden flood of money arrived for her rival Maxine Dexter. This money is believed to have come from AIPAC. You can see from their methods what a very determined lobby they are (NRIs will never even approach that)

The Vox article is pure schizophrenic hysteria especially the parts on Dr. Truschke. Remember she had the temerity to have a conference to destroy Hinduism (under some political guise). These articles unfortunately do cause a negative impact to India and Modi in the long term like a thousand cuts.

Comedian Bill Maher complains that American Left now hate Jews more than American Right used to:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DPC2Si4tKI

India isn't important enough in the minds of American Left or Right to sustain overwhelming hatred for it. Israel, as a prominent surrogate tied to the US has now fully caught that negative attention, and its supporters are now chafing and seething with anger.

How should we read this, after all, an amerki citizen is involved in the murder of a beedi MP who was in kolkata for medical treatment

Surely the amerki govt is directly involved in the case, just like the amrikis are insisting on involving the GoI in the alleged panun case

sauce, goose, gander, and all that, no ...

A very serious case where an amerki murdered a beedi citizen, a member of parliament, no less, in a third country, namely in kolkata, India

US-Bangladesh citizen Akhtaruzzaman hired Amanullah & others to kill Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata, investigation reveals a gold smuggling angle

Who killed Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar and why?

A Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar was murdered in Kolkata after he went missing last week.

Three people were arrested by the police in Dhaka while a taxi driver was arrested by Kolkata police in connection with the murder.

Anwarul Azim Anar, according to reports, travelled to Kolkata on May 12 and stayed at the house of a family friend in Borah Nagar. The next day, he left saying that he is going to see a doctor. He failed to return. His friend received a couple of texts from his mobile phone asking not to call him.

The police have said that Azim was found murdered in an apartment in Kolkata. It was a premeditated killing.

Azim, according to The Daily Star, was on an Interpol list of wanted individuals. Between 2000 and 2008, he stood accused in 21 cases, including three for murders. He was acquitted of the charges at different times, says his affidavit filed with the Election Commission.

Quoting multiple sources in Bangladesh intelligence and law enforcement, The Daily Star said that Azim and a Bangladeshi-US citizen named Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman, locally known as Shaheen, who Indian police say is a key suspect, were probably running an illegal gold business in Kolkata.

The two recently fell out over business matters, and there was evidence that Akhtaruzzaman hired a man named Amanullah, who was arrested in Dhaka on Tuesday night, to kill Azim, the sources added.

Amanullah then recruited two others named Mustafizur and Faisal for the job. They too were arrested yesterday, said an officer on the condition of anonymity.

Akhtaruzzaman also hired two others named Jihad and Siam, who went to India without any passports, for the same purpose.

Police said Amanullah was once a leader of Purbo Banglar Communist Party. He was in prison for 20 years in two murder cases.

Here's a good interview with Col. Doug MacGregor where he describes the kind of decision-making he witnessed in the higher levels of American decision-making structure. It's worth hearing, just to get an idea of how things worked, including under the NeoCons:

Chetakji,

Life of an American has a value dependant on its utility. Let me explain,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzalo_Lira

Gonzalo Lira died in Ukrainian custody whilst his family was BEGGING for assistance. He was "pro-Russian" so therefore of no use. His death did not even register. Pannun on the other hand is useful in trying to tie down India. See all lives are not the same. Also notice, how PPC, Amnesty International, Al Guardian, Al Jazeera, etc barely reported this event yet ALL have time on Pannun. Strange don't you think?

P.S. Even Musk was troubled

"In December 2023, Elon Musk, CEO of X (formerly Twitter), publicly inquired about Lira on his platform, in response to a post by media personality Tucker Carlson calling Lira a political prisoner "

Conspirator may have escaped to US

That is the usual pattern though isn't it? American dual citizens committing capital offenses in India and then sheltering in the USA?

What odds that this person will be extradited to India or Bangladesh to face possible capital punishment?

Confronting the Woke-Left and Jihad-Enthusiast Alliance
Following Hamas’ bloodthirsty Oct. 7 assault on Israel’s southern border communities, woke leftists and jihad enthusiasts on campuses and beyond formed a perplexing alliance. The left advocates social justice; celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion; and professes special concern for historically oppressed minorities. Meanwhile, Gaza’s Iran-backed jihadists torture and kill based on race, ethnicity, and sexual preference; loathe and wage war against Israelis, Jews, Americans, and the West; and, by all available means, seek to establish Islamist theocracy. What could unite two such seemingly mutually exclusive camps?

Not for the first time a common enemy makes allies out of adversaries. A shared disdain for the United States and Israel draws together woke leftists and jihad enthusiasts. Sustaining their cooperation is a common resentment of the principles that the United States and Israel embrace – individual freedom, democratic equality, free-market dynamism, toleration of a diversity of beliefs about faith and human flourishing – and an antipathy to Israel’s character as the nation-state of the Jewish people.

The shared disdain and common resentment and antipathy give rise to more puzzles.

Some of these concern students. How in the space of only a few years have numerous leftist students moved from trembling in fear and rage at opinions with which they disagree to donning masks and keffiyehs, occupying prime campus real estate, and siding with terrorism and religious war? How have they gone from insisting that all women must be believed to serving as apologists for Hamas’ raping of Israeli women? How have they set aside the dogmas that speech and even silence are violence in favor of harassing fellow students by openly celebrating the perpetration of mass atrocities and publicly chanting slogans that call for Israel’s destruction?

Sirji, India does not grant dual citizenship. The prime suspect of the murder of Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar is Mr. Akhtaruzzaman, a United States citizen of Bangladeshi origin. Now, Bangladesh grants dual citizenship. But the chances of extradition of Akhtaruzzaman from the US to Bangladesh is remote as Bangladesh and US relations is presently not good.
