Re: Indian Sports and Entertainment Industry
25 golds so far.
We cleaned up all five golds on offer in Compound Archery - which may become an Olympic sport in LA 2028. The South Koreans used to rule this along with recurve but after losing grip on it to Taiwan, China and earlier to some extent India, we've basically stepped into a different gear. Ojas Deotale and Aditi Swami are amazing - one just over 20, the other 17, both world champions. Deotale consistently shoots perfect 150s in clutch moments.

I'm lovin' it as an archery fan and amateur recurve archer!
Re: Indian Sports and Entertainment Industry
We are there and there abouts in recurve too. We have time till 2024 to bridge the gap between the Koreans. The achievements of the compound team should inspire the recurve team.Suraj wrote: ↑07 Oct 2023 09:02 25 golds so far.

Look what happened in Kabaddi finals against Iran.
the thrilling men's kabaddi final between India and Iran at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, a dramatic turn unfolded right at the match's conclusion.
With just over a minute remaining, the Indian team's Pawan Sehrawat faced a critical do-or-die raid. During this raid, Pawan strayed out of bounds without making contact with any Iranian defenders. In response, Amirhossein Bastami and three other Iranian defenders swiftly rushed towards Pawan, attempting to push him out.
This resulted in a moment of chaos and confusion as it remained unclear whether Pawan had been successfully tackled or not. Initially, Iran was awarded a point for their efforts in halting Pawan. However, the Indian team, including players and officials, engaged in heated discussions with the on-court umpire and TV officials.
After a thorough review, the officials made a crucial decision, granting four points to India. It was noted that the number of points could vary based on the number of players who went out alongside Pawan.
This decision sparked protests from the Iranian team, who argued against it. According to the International Kabaddi rulebook, "If a defender or defenders who have touched the ground outside the boundary (as per rule 5) hold a raider, the raider will be declared NOT OUT. The defender or defenders who have gone out of bounds only will be declared out."
Ultimately, the final decision favored India, awarding them three points as three defenders went out with the raider. Iran received one point for forcing Pawan out.
In the end, India emerged victorious with a 33-29 win, securing the coveted gold medal. This achievement brought India's total medal count to 103, placing them in the fourth position in the overall

The Kabaddi match should never have been that close. The Iranians look way fitter than us. Same with the women's team.
Re: Indian Sports and Entertainment Industry
The Iranian coach said as much before the final - that India were technically superior so they resorted to fielding the fittest possible team they could in order to win by attrition.

This cricket World Cup doesn’t seem to have the oomph and excitement as before. Even ignoring the aspect of whether ODIs are relevant in this age, it just doesn’t feel like a WC. The stadiums are empty.
The opening match between NZ and England was a lesson in annhilation. I still maintain England winning in 2019 was undeserved and due to luck with that 4 off Stokes bat….
Let’s hope there Indian matches brings it on!

There is a boycott call going on for playing cricket with terrorist Pakistan going on while our soldiers and civilians get killed by Pakistan. So anyone who promote such activities for money could be boycotted too.

Well written piece:
https://www.espn.in/espn/story/_/id/385 ... ng-stories
Snippet:
https://www.espn.in/espn/story/_/id/385 ... ng-stories
Snippet:
China have won 194 GOLDS - that's just counting their gold medals - this Asiad, and they have more on the way over the next day and a half. They hit the 100-medal mark in the early morning hours of day three (India did so on Day 13).
The behemoth that is the Chinese sports system is what you get with focused, long-term, goal-oriented planning. There may be faults with it, but if your target is that medal tally, then they have set out the blueprint on how a large country of unimaginable numbers and with a varied demographic can do it.
Scale apart, there is another difference between India's success and China's. For Indian athletes, it's their win defeating systems, and of systems defeating circumstances.
The protagonists of the win deserve our plaudits; everything that makes it so difficult for them needs closer examination. You could construe it as finding negatives instead of celebrating the achievements, but it actually makes the 105 number look even more remarkable.

Corporate sponsorship is much bigger contributer under CSR schemes. For example, NTPC is providing 115 crores over 5 year period to Archery Association of India.

Some of then Cricketers in the ongoing ICC World Cup having tweeting about Palestine
Should not be held accountable by the ICC
Md Rizwan dedicated his century and victory to Gaza
Moomeen Ali tweeted similiar but later changed it.
The shit head had worn Save Gaza in a test match vs India and EWB and team members were apparently happy with it!! Only ICC objected and he removed it.
Reminds of me of the hu-ha that Pakis created on Dhoni having a army logo on his gloves during ICC tournament.
Should these guys not be marked for their behaviour and black listed from IPL!!

Recently an article published with Ifran Pathan claiming that Indian Players were attacked in Pak during the visit.
Is there any truth in this??
Was it hushed by the powers to be from either side??
Was this a sort of preamble to what happened to Lankan players in 2009???
Or was it just bottle and stuff like that thrown at players inside the ground??

Great all round performance by the Afghan players and they claim a comfortable win over Pakistan
Moreover the crowd support was great and they took a lap of honor at the end.. I wonder what angle the naysayers will now try to vilify the Indian public with

Thanks for the info.
Take a look at Karan (the Shithead)T interviewing Hajam Sethi on the wire(I did not post the link as its wire)
The idiot is making it out that 'Jai Shri Ram' is more potent and injurious to health for a peaceful than a missile thrown at him ( be it a nail or a bottle or a bullet). He did not even once question Paki behaviour and attitudes when Indians visited but was talking some shit about B Mishra's views on the Paki awam!!!
Also was Hajam in the PCB set up during the incident of Irfan Pathan injury!!
Why this incident of Ifran Pathan injury not being highlighted in the social media to counter these idiots!!
Maybe the Osama hosting had not happened 9/11 or 26/11 had not happened

INDIA's 9-9 WINNING STREAK
Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul slam tons as India post 410/4 against Netherlands in record-breaking batting performance
Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten 128 while KL Rahul smashed a 62-ball century as India posted their highest score of the ongoing tournament in their final league match against the Netherlands in Bengaluru.
PAKI AWAAM REACTION ON INDIA’s WIN
India has fixed all the matches, the bats, the balls, the umpires, the wickets, the bails, the weather, the pitches, the biryanis, bought off all the players, commentators, and spectators.
India has done this because we are not Hindus and they hate us because we are better than them
India has behaved very badly by not allowing us, the pakis, to win the world cup. It was our right to win but they always are jealous of us because we are the world's best team...
Now, the paki team players getting ready to leave India are telling the hotel staff: "pack biryani so that we can take it home with us", but show it in the laundry bill as "clothes washed"

#Tiger3 review:
A propaganda film was released on Diwali to promote the greatness of non-violent pakistan in its time of worst self-created crisis.
Theme:
1. Noble Pak politicians want peace with India
2. Noble Pak ISI loves India and is waiting for India to respond
3. It is only one bad ex-ISI agent who wants to destroy India and hence is court-martialed by great Pakistan after being caught.
4 This ex ISI agent wants to become pak PM with the help of pak army. So they plan to kill the saintly Pak PM
5 A Botox ISI agent and a sleepy R&AW agent join hands to save pak democracy and pak PM
It is all about Dil Dil Pakistan. Nothing about India except that India needs to respond to Pak's love
Scenes:
- Seems to be all copied from the Mission Impossible series.
- Difference is that Tom Cruise tries to do most of his stunts. Here, a slow-moving Salman asks video editor and doubles to do it all.
- A sadakchhaap girls-in-towels fight scene seem to be copied from some XXX videos.
VFX:
- School kids do a better job these days in summer breaks.
-In one scene, a bomb blast destroys the floor of a building, but the tree next to it remains as it is.
- Salman seems to beat Spider Man and Super Man in super-long jumps and flights that defy physics
-Blasts only appear as fire-designs on still images
Acting:
Salman should better start playing Asit Sen roles. He is too slow and sleepy. Katrina's Botox can't hide her ineptness.
Overall:
Countless spy and action films are available on streaming and even free on YouTube that will damage your brain far less than this utter trash.
Message:
- A sleazy Prabhu Ka Naam song on the Hindu faith. Why not Rasul Ka Naam when the film is all about Pakistan? The answer to this question explains the agenda and mindset behind this kachra.
But Hindustan me jab tak Sanima hai, log ...
Verdict:
If you love your brain, stay away. Better donate to the needy than fund their Botox and Daaru
