Actually wanting a favorable outcome from either the dems or repubs is counter productive for India. An embrace by Uncle Sam could turn out to be very very deadly, considering that the Deep State operatives have venomous poison packed in their teeth, one bite could kill you. Having a love-hate relationship is fine and keeps everyone off balance. Letting of the occasional steam/hiss once in awhile is great. India has to pursue its own independent relationships worldwide and not be too dependent on any one nation including the US.

Dr Ankit Shah has been saying that the outcome of elections can smoothen many irritants in the relationship, after all it is the economy stupid. The US has no option but to patch up things with India. China has shown its fangs worldwide to everyone. The US deep state money has been effectively pulled out from China and they are groping around for the next round of investment. No other country can scale up to the levels of China, which means grudgingly India is next destination for many things due to its labor pool, potential scale and other factors.

India will be in many things of commerce. The days of cheap china goods are over - many of them of poor quality and not durable over time. All the cheap trinkets for US christmas sale have to be done elsewhere. India may not be lowest cost but you can expect higher quality and durability of goods. India can get into high value chain manufacture with ease since its labor force is quite capable.

Many things that India is needing in the area of high tech is increasingly becoming rather moot including things like engine tech for aircrafts. I am hearing that our guys are on the verge of 80kn kaveri engine, GE et al can take a hike. Missiles and rockets we don't need anyone. There are many things in which India is the leader and the fact that the increasing educated youth population of India will become global leaders makes me wonder whether we need anyone at all in any area. The more high tech things become the more difficult it becomes to manage and operate the darn thing. The US will at one stage give up on this aspect, since its talent pool will shrivel quite quickly. As it is the US population is getting dumber and dumber by the day.

The request to the “Five Eyes” agencies (the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) appears to have come from Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan.

According to Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi and Alex Gutentag, foreign intelligence agencies were asked to conduct the surveillance, including “bumping” the associates — a term for making contact with or casually engaging a target to generate intelligence. These encounters may also have been used to generate intelligence reports used to support further intelligence efforts by the United States in the Russian investigation.
