If Iran enters into the war - and that's very likely, starting with its proxy Hezbollah - then the situation will blow up fast.

If Iran was not willing to risk war, then it would have never initiated its 10/7 attack on Israel in the first place.

Iran is currently behaving as if it has already received guarantees from stronger powers. (We all know who they are.)

I would think as many as necessary to kill/annihilate the bad guys.

The "bad guys" have more than one strategy to dominate the world (Caliphate, Gazwe-Hind, etc), so as many threads as they put up.

It is a fair strategy.

If you criticize Soros, his supporters call you anti-semitic.

Yet Soros is now funding pro-Hamas protests.

We abstained - was it right?
Should we complain if others then abstain in regards to terrorism against us?

Our problem is that we are economically vulnerable to those who harbour sectarian allegiances against us.
We have to figure out how to remove this vulnerability.

^^There must, at least in the eyes of the MEA, be a "good" reason to abstain, to balance "Indian politics and dynamics" or something like that. We are in GE 2024 campaign mode. Although, to most of us it looks like a cop out.

The ways of the MEA are mysterious. All we can do it assume they know best and are acting in India's best interests (of which I think there is no doubt).

There needs to be a more organized-but-informal network that enables more nonMuslim countries to help each other in conflicts involving Muslim neighbors. This would offset the pile-on from the global Muslim collective.

It is very simple.

Bharat is looking after her own interests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why anyone's BP is going through the roof is not an issue.

There is really no need to analyze, but the urge to do so is very understandable - that it is in the Bharatiya DNA.

Ultimately this, IMO, is a conflict between the believers and non-bilievers.

As I stated a few months ago, Bharat needs to PRINT (outside the normal budget) US dollars 50 billion and build a stockpile of ammo. The believers are coming and the nonbelievers (like Israel) are not prepared. The nonbelievers are very, very bijji analyzing. Via-agra syndrome

i see that left in India has successfully hijacked Israel - Gaza issue and slowly turning it into Hindu-Muslim issue in India. the reason i feel is when Hamas leader addressed Kerala people there was a root-out out Hindutva poster below him. the address for the support of Hamas in OP Jindal global university, which was suppose to be on the topic of history and politics of Palestinian present by Achin Vanaik turned out to be heavily on Hindutva.

Is there an intention of rewiring the brain of Muslim to equate Hindus are your Indian Jews, you Indian Muslims are oppressed Gazan Muslim of India, Zionism is same as Hindutva. i was wondering how long will it take for them to start hating from Hindutva to Hindu?

Its already there since centuries, sometimes it boils over when hindus are complacent or busy infighting. Other times it lays low waiting for an opportunity. External events like the current conflict inject a dose of outrage now and then and they set out seeking revenge for problems which are not theirs, against people who have nothing to do with it.

Scott Ritter makes many strong and factual counter points. He says by creating a Palestinian state, we remove the raison d'être of Hamas, and even seems admirative of the Oct 7th attacks (thats pretty indefensible). He seems to think that once a Palestine state is created, it will become a docile lamb and all will be peace and harmony. Once again, it shows that even the smarter people in the west who do not tow popular narratives, do not understand islamic ideology. I also think Scott is caught in a perennial anti-establishment trap of his own making.

The fact that by agreeing to the creation of a Palestine state NOW, we would end up legitimising this type of terrorist actions as the ONLY way to succeed for any and all islamist and separatist movements doesn't seem to occur to him.

In another podcast, Jacques Baud made an interesting and important point (not linking here since its in French). Islamic Jihad doesn't have a defined end state. If seen as a collective movement, its desired end state is a world that is 100% islamised, ready for Qayamat. On an individual level, it means "endeavour" to contribute to the achievement of that goal and die if need be (even preferably) in the process to achieve access to jannat and 72H. At no point does this ideology envisage an end state of achieving a limited set of worldly objectives, and then live peacefully with non-believers. Baud is one of the very rare people in the west who got this right.

He is obviously talking about the infamous "two-state solution". That is never going to happen, because:

Reason 1: It is not acceptable to Israel, and for good reasons. The 2SS would just return Israel to its borders as of 01 June 1967, a recipe for disaster / destruction of Israel.

Reason 2: It is not acceptable to Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and the vast international array of AhA-shouting Islamist jehadis. These people don't want a 2SS, they want a 1SS, i.e. a one-state solution consisting of jehadi Muslims only, after the Jews have been killed or swept into the sea.

lets just say the facts:

Hamas attack on Israel was terrorism
there can be NO negotiations with such a precedent

Modi clearly sees this intent and template

The Israeli army needs to depopulate gaza and remove that threat once and for all .

There does not seem to be a "peaceful" option [ pun intended ]

Russia is trying hard to get the US involved., a third carrier group is on its way. Once Hizbul and Lebanon enters the fray this would be a two front, even a multifront with the houthis and odd tag militias on the fray .. Nothing will make Putin happier than US bombing Lebanon , iran .. !!!
