Saw a report in local Deccan Herald paper about a crashed DRDO drone near Chitradurga. It had a pic too but i couldnt ID the drone from the pic.

Whats the special requirement for a night trial?

Also has the SFC ever testfired from anywhere except ITR? Is it assumed that in actual combat, it would be fired from ITR since there has never been any testing from any non DRDO location?

^^ 400% no doubt in that and the perseverance will bear fruit.

Having both N-subs damaged while in operation should ring alarm bells about the SOPs in the submarine arm and hopefully, things are fully ironed out by the time the naval arm of the N-triad is fully ready and operational

The aim was to just get 2 Phalcons quickly. Typically three are required for coverage, one in transit, one in maintenance, one on coverage. However, with 5 we can hope for quasi coverage of 2 sectors by locating the Phalcons nearby, provisioning extra crew for maintenance etc. 3 AEW&C likewise....
