If you are in business or a professional like a doctor/lawyer etc and not a salaried person your tax return for Rs 5 Lakhs in most of the cases means your actual income is several times of that. A very low base allows people like that to simply file a return for a small amount and "manage"...

Parts of UP area also reporting ATMs being dry. The job of ATM cash is outsourced to private parties by the Banks. So logically there should be no reason except someone is doing this deliberately.

We need to take all prediction of doom that comes from the so-called experts with a ton of salt. Particularly when our MSM reports that. I think what is needed for our economy is the creation of jobs. As long as that is being done we are good in the short and medium term.

On creating big banks etc, I have an alternative view. While we need big and very big banks we also need banks of all sizes. Big size banks are not showing interest in SME loans or small size loans. In our country, there is a huge need for proper lending in these areas. Here Mudra scores. But we nee...

Software companies of India work in more harsh conditions when dealing with customers. Particularly customers from abroad. I do not see any reason why they should not deliver things to GoI. This project is critical for the nation. If Infy does not step up then there is no reason to continue with them.
