Re: Indian Military Aviation- September 29 2013

How do you know this? Even when spin tests where aborted, we don't know if it could have recovered or not. The test was simply aborted when entry into spin tests were not deemed to be safe. Sorry not understood...spin test aborted. My memory recollects that two fine gentlemen had to eject out of du...

Re: Indian Military Aviation- September 29 2013

The IAF needs the plane now and it could accept the plane (which is pretty far along in its flight testing) with some relaxation to its stringent requirements. And have fighter pilots or even pilots passing out flying academies with experience of only take off and landings. Cause IJT cannot stall s...

So because I said chief is wrong on his presumptions my statements are asinine and my behavior is arrogant? What that makes you then? His remarks are offending, plain and simple. You can't prove that wrong by jumping on me and personally attacking me. If IAF does not have the resources or money to ...

Re: Raffy wins - Go Katrina!

If it is not possible, it doesn't matter if there is no plan B, Plan A still goes out of the window. And the sooner the IAF is told, the sooner they can start thinking of alternatives. Like others have said, more MKIs and LCA's is an option. May not be ideal, but it is better than nothing. Why not ...

Re: LCA News and Discussions

Just as a data-point: the IAF is on record that the 2 x Tejas Squadrons are absolutely required to be operational under 12th Plan (2012-2017) to ensure that Squadron strength does not breach the lakshman-rekha of 34 Squadrons. Taking on from here, if we assume 60-75% flight line serviceability star...

Because the big mile stone is getting unacceptably delayed. The rate at which HAL is going around making it, it is any ones guess when a meaningful number will be available. And all the "oh LCA is a complex system" makes no sense in the given context. What is HAL? A cycle repair shop? Or ...

the more curious ones can request me on the AGARD Aerospace nav systems volume. Its only 500 pages of sheer tech data, all doubts here about speed and computational requirements would get sorted out in perspective.

Hope a search for this book would satisfy some requirements of authenticity.

TERPROM, why is it applicable only for strike missions? It is useful in some strike missions, where mission planning can map and feed routes.
