Re: LCA Tejas: News and Discussions

Which MP/Minister or ruler cares for the common money of the country? All big names are only for self promotion; not for diligent work on this kind of issues. I wrote to PMO multiple times with practicable and needed solutions to many issues like these. They just trash my letters. They will work on ...

Re: Indian Military Aviation - 21 Sept 2015

IJT Sitara started making rounds in the skies near HAL airport at 8 AM; awaiting for HTT-40 in the sky. At around 8:10 AM, HTT-40 was flying over my head, escorted by Sitara just 10 meters away. Both aircrafts made 2-3 rounds together in the sky very slowly. HTT-40 is as big as Sitara and actually i...

I have no idea why it takes decades for each milestone for defense equipment in India. what is stopping DRDO and IAF from firing Astra against a real target, finish the testing and user trails and then induct? ^ How can one see a launch from Bangalore ? The flight path never crosses the Deccan plateau. Because rocket is not a cruise missile and so does not hug to the terrain. The smoke rises to a height of almost 50 KM, so the clear smoke line can be seen up to almost 500 km from SHAR. Did anyone else he...

The 6'o clock launch allowed me to see the PSLV streaking across the sky from my rooftop at Chennai. I could clearly see the PS1 separation, PS1 falling off, Ps2 igniting. It was brilliant. The sky was clear except for one or two low hanging clouds which didn't hinder the view. Itt was a majestic s...

As CAG pointed out, many scientists and leaders in DRDO are working with lack of interest, unprofessional decisions and no vision. 1. Akash MK2 development was declared more than 5 yesr ago. US or Israel or China or even Pakistan would have done it in just 1 or 2 years and deploy it by now. 2. Inven...

We still have a long way to go before we can catch up with the big boys in the rocket and propulsion technology race. Our CE-7.5 cryo engine, seems to have the lowest thrust to weight ratio, as compared to all upper stage cryo engines out there. It is given as only 16.85. In fact from the wiki link...

The problem that occurred during last attempt was due to a bit bold step with confidence in the second stage fuel tank. We cant say that ISRO showed negligence. it is just an accident. I think, aircraft carriers can be easily watched using imaging satellites. An aircraft carrier should be painted/designed in such a way that it has sea coloured camoflague so that it is difficult to detect. What do you say guys?
