Re: Military Vehicles: News & Discussion

Jamwal you are correct in your assertion about size being big but small in relation to other mpvs. I feel like this looks more akin to a similar evolution of how the hummer led to the oshkosh JLTV. Suspect these might be similar sizes.

Dumb newbie question: What is the service ceiling of the HAL Dhruv, particularly the latest revision ? The above impressive service ceiling the IMRH made me look for it, and I see various numbers in various places, but BR itself claims a rather old figure. Isn't the figure more like 7000m or more ?...

Is the C295 akin to the AN26 or the AN32 for hot-and-high power conditions? With the 6 A321s to France, is the MRTT dead? It seems unlikely the smaller aircraft can multi-role as a tanker. AESA are multi beam, so if one beam is tracking a target, the remaining panel will do volume search.. All that only tells you that you are been tracked and a BVR "may be" on it's way. What if the platform firing the BVR is not the one tracking you? A AWACS can datalink your position to a fighter which your RWR cannot see.. MAWS cannot detect a BVR at 100KM.. if it could, we wouldn't be us...
