Trying to get a general feel of opinions from all sources ... from what I've seen, heard & read, most people are relieved with the verdict. Personally, I think the issue has been laid to rest and we, as a nation, need to move on. The SC needs to dismiss any further appeals from either party

It was published in the book "When Lighting Strikes : Illustrated HIstory of No.20 Squadron 1957-2007" published by Vayu Aerospace.

if people remember the stuck ropeway rescue at mussoorie from late 80's, the army officer who conducted the actual rescue was just back from a recently completed SF course in russia. You're referring to Major (later Col.) Crasto and cable car incident at Parwanoo ... iirc he has since left the army...

They dont seem to have any other equipment other than their rifles! I thought that the state was going to fully equip them with all the equipment. I hope they are better equipped than what these pictures show. Also, why are they wearing a maroon beret ? Isn't that exclusively for those who graduate...

It's important to distinguish between CT units (NSG), CI units (RR) and SF units (Para Cdos, etc).

Unfortunately, we have underutilzed or misutilized our SF units by treating them more like elite infantry.
