BARS on board the MKI was never operated in all it's modes during the red flag) so if M2Ks were indeed equipped with the upgraded RDYs then it makes sense to keep calibration exercises ...

Hyperfocal distance for 5mm @ f/2.8 is 0.4m or 40 cms. Which means anything beyond half of hyperfocal or 20cm will be in the DOF.

I would still want to see EXIF on that basketball pic, ISO1200++ seems to be pretty nice.
