Arundhati while sleepwalking with the comrades, sourced that (mis)information from another compost heap, that of Trevor Selvam.

Re: Indian Missile Technology Discussion

BTW what's the significance of a night launch? electronics/communications are not supposed to depend on ambient light I believe unless it's 'solar powered' of course. Does A-2 has a stellar inertial navigation which might malfunction at night? I personally would prefer night time to gaze the stars t...

Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military

Maoists release a captured police officer in WB. What's the gun carried by the guerilla at the left? Isn't that a Musket(0.458?) which typically Indian policemen use at guard posts generally.

On the Marcos photograph jumping out of the raft. The Guy in the back is carrying a rifle with a canvas bag hanging from the bottom containing bullets. Re: Discussion on Indian Special Forces

The NSGs are supposed to wear Fire retardant NOMEX clothings. It appears to me that they wear conventional cotton wears.
Lack of ballistic goggles lead to lost of an eye of a NSG jawan.

Re: Small Arms Thread

I believe Calcutta police acquired some Czech scorpion SMGs for VIP protection in late 80s/early 90s. A sample is still kept at Kolkata police museum.

I also remember an arms scandal in late 80s,involving some Czech pistol purchase for indian paramilitary forces. Can anybody provide the details?

What is the shotgun firing helicopter? a scaled down predator drone?
and where a gatling gun can be used in a CQ battle?
I feel the need of a sharpnel proof footgear. not necessarily a mine proof one

MP5 with double magazine
But doesn't that appear longer than an MP_5? the magazine is also wider and shorter than an MP-5
