Re: Strategic leadership for the future of India

Rudradev, could not agree with you more. Both your posts above are spot on. We have to get out of this accomodation mode. I have a feeling that even if a dirty bomb goes off in one of the population centers, we will still be in the accomodating mode... and I think the next escalation would be a impr...

Good article on saag. Describes the mood of the nation. UPA's inaction will eventually cause a nationalist surge that will give BJP the majority that it needs to clean up this country. http://www.southasiaanalysis.org/papers31/paper3004.html POST MUMBAI 9/11: INDIA PARALYZED BY PAKISTAN’S SUPERIORIT...

Re: Indian Response to Terrorism after Mumbai

Time to open up the purse strings and go vote. UPA should be taught a lesson. with more days passing since 26/11 mumbai incident and indian govt doing nothing except for some speeches by pranab/manmohan once in a while, it looks like no action will happen until the next deadly terrorist incident. in...

It will contirbute to the fear of two front war for TSP and will make them behave and become civilized. Don't you mean "pretend to be civilized till circumstances change and they don't have to?" Thats the most you can hope to achieve. And thats precisely why it has to a be sustained, long...

And I suspect a lot other folks as well. Everyone in the Political/State machinery must be on his payroll. Makes a lot of money in mumbai still. His infrastructure very much intact.

But there cannot be a more apt first target. We need to spread some RAW fear.

Re: Indian Response to Terrorism after Mumbai

I tend to agree that "surgical" strikes are pointless except as an icing on the cake. The real intention must be not to take out the tools of terror (fools like Kasab and Lakhvi), but the inclination to use those tools in the minds of the wielders of these tools. That can only happen with...

We need to contain ULFA and other local terrorists now. The more time we wait, the bigger they get..the more tentacles they grow outside. Besides they are easy to manipulate to bring in explosives/arms inside India. :x Never forgive, never forget. (At least those of us who care about our motherland)
